They are reporting that she drowned in her bathtub. They had to get a search warrant so they could confiscate the pill bottles they found. I am really wondering now if this might not have been a suicide the way they are dealing with this now.

In any case, this is really sad and there is a young girl without a mom now.

I am heartsick. I don't what else to say. So I will just leave it at that.

anyone who did not see this coming for the last 20 years is lying or really oblivious. Very sad. Totally preventable. bottom line seems to be she was just not strong enough to resist the junk.

Yep. Shades of Amy Winehouse.

It was prerecorded. Every bit of Whitney, but it was prerecorded.
Yeah, most national anthems are pre-recorded. Something Cristina Aguilera probably should've done.

My favorite Whitney song. She was so beautiful. Inside and out. I don't care what problems she struggled with and I am no one to judge her. I love her and I am so sad today.

I'm a bit surprised by the outpouring of sympathy for her to be honest. She was a horrible person from everything I've seen or read about her.

No sympathy here...outside of that for her family and friends.

RIP dear lady.

A little off topic here, but I wonder just how they time those jets to fly over the stadium at the exact time the song is over? I have always wondered how they do that?

probably not that hard

No one in their right mind can ignore the direction her life took and I don't put that all on Bobby. That was always in her. Bobby just said, "baby, it's ok." Because when it's all said and done. After their divorce, his life has been the more stable of the two. Trying to jumpstart his career again, engaged to another woman, and has a new baby.

But as I was telling my Dad, people mourn Whitney because of what her music meant to them when they were growing up. She represented all that was good in music in the 80s and early 90s.

People are sad for her family. People are sad because of how her life turned and the fact that she'll never get the chance to turn it around. That saddens me. So in my mind, she is gone too soon.

Can't say it any better than that.

Clive Davis is who found her. His pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton is a yearly event. He cancelled tonight's party after hearing of the news.

It looks like the party went on, though I am sure he did not want to hold it.

She had one of the best voices of all time.

Yeah, the party went on, but based on the reports, it turned into more a tribute to her than was originally intended.

From some of the reporting the body hadn't been removed yet from the hotel because of the warrants or something. How odd it must have felt to have a tribute to her when she was just a few floors above.

Wonder how many death threats Bobby Brown has received since this news broke.
