I don't think we really have a dawg. I would like Parsons to be that guy, but he's a puppy still. I think Diggs could be that guy. I do miss that passion of Dez.

I really don't know him other than I think he'll play at a high level.
Well even a previous Dawg could get fat and lazy - which is what it looks like Martin did. As far as Wilson is concerned, you are telling me that an injury could not have made him cautious? You don’t seem to understand what a dawg is. You are either a dawg or your aren’t. You never lose the dawg once you show it is in you.
Could be we have different definitions of dawg in a playerEhh I don’t think dog when I seen Ferg…..but right now I don’t think anyone on offense is a dog after what I just saw. Dawgs get tired too. I ain’t gonna question he’s shown it for years.
I feel like the dog doesn’t go away though. Seems like when we get punched in the mouth the whole team caves in. I see the dog when we play the bad teams though…wish I saw in the 9ers gamesCould be we have different definitions of dawg in a player
For me it's a guy that plays with a nasty edge and has a high motor.
Larry Allen was the epitome of a dawg but although Ferg and Allen should never be mentioned in the same sentence, I think it's obvious to most that he's the offenses current enforcer when it comes to having his teammates back.
George Teague was one of those guys too.....
That's a fact.....that's why I point to Parsons productivity in the 3 games just last season against the Dolphins, Bills and PackersI feel like the dog doesn’t go away though. Yeah Parsons is the one…..pains me to say bad things about him I don’t care about his podcasts but I do concern myself with some of the things he does in those games we need him in.That's a fact.....that's why I point to Parsons productivity in the 3 games just last season against the Dolphins, Bills and Packers
Our dogs had no bite in those games .......but we sure beat up on the crap teams.
We need change and it starts at the top. Perhaps the 82 year old guy sells the team and goes into the sunset 10 billion dollars richer, lol
DakA “Dawg” is a player that puts winning as the only goal. Highly competitive. A player that refuses to give up even in the darkest hours. A player with a nasty edge to his game. A player that’s not going to back down. Gives 100% the entire game.
I think the Cowboys have a few “Dawgs”. Ferguson is the first that comes to mind. He gives it all and plays with some nasty. Dak is certainly a Dawg. He never gives up and gives it his all 100% of the time. Doesn’t back down from opposing players. He’s out there right now practicing in training camp and hasn’t missed an OTA or mini-camp. He could be holding out like many others are right now. On the offensive line, they have 2 currently and 2 on the way. Martin and Tyler Smith both fit the definition. Smith is 332 lbs of nasty. Not afraid of anything and is just getting started. He recently said what he like about Tyler Guyton, one of the 2 up and coming Dawgs, is his nastiness. He said he likes to play that way as well. And then there’s Beebe. He justs likes destroying opposing players. Just physically dominating them. I’ll give Brandin Cooks an honorable mention. Love his game.
On the defensive side? Before the GB game I would’ve given Lawrence serious consideration but his comment about them being tired after the game ended that. Bland could be on the cusp. He needs to show some leadership still yet. Show some emotion. Overshown shows potential but he hasn’t even played yet. Sad to say, I don’t see any real Dawgs on defense. They have some great players, but haven’t shown any passion or toughness or competitiveness.
Bottom line is the more of these type players you have, the better chance you have of winning. Cowboys need some on defense. Time will tell if any of the youngsters will qualify.
That's all anyone knows about him. I can't call anyone an NFL dawg until they actually play in the NFL.I really don't know him other than I think he'll play at a high level.
Big strong man with a mean streak. Chance of him being a dawg is high.I really don't know him other than I think he'll play at a high level.
Martin’s greatness gives him all time dawg status. Not his fault this crap franchise spoiled another HOFer.Well even a previous Dawg could get fat and lazy - which is what it looks like Martin did. As far as Wilson is concerned, you are telling me that an injury could not have made him cautious?
