We won by 21 vs. Seattle. How can you say that w/o Miles today, we would have lost?

I said possibly, if he was not drawing double coverage maybe the game has a different outcome.

I also forgot one person, who is David Buehler who has given us great field position all the time.

4 Ints.......3 of which came in one game....1 of those was on a stupid deep pass that should have never happened and another was one of the luckiest bounces I have ever seen (off Witten's heel). Take away those two and Romo has only 2 INTs this season......very impressive.

He also has lost 2 fumbles.

So he has 6 turnovers this season. From those 6 turnovers, the opposition has scored 38 points after those turnovers (5 TDs, 1 FG).

Still, if you told me through 7 games, Romo would have only 4 INTs and 2 Fumbles......I would take that in a heartbeat.

I will say that I did expect him to have more than 12 TDs through 7 games. I in fact expected him to have around 15-16 TDs. The Carolina and Denver games really hurt his pace.

1. Romo has thrown 4 ints this season in 2 games. In the Giants game, one of them was intended for Crayton that got returned for a TD, one of them bounced of Witten's foot and the 3rd was intended for Hurd. In the Denver game, the int was intended for Austin. Roy actually broke up an int by Aqib Talib on a low ball that was intended for him in the Tampa game. So, no! You're off on this one.

2. It's definitely a cause for concern at this point. Or at least should become a focal point in their preparation. But even you, and the staunches of the Roy haters, can agree that he's getting open out there and has a skill set that poses a legit threat for any defense. They just have to get on the same page. They are taking the next step in conversing about plays on the sideline for lengths of time after the plays-and Wade even alluded to this in his post game PC.

But it's not something that easy to explain. It's easy and actually a cop out for those who don't like Roy to say he's lazy, he's a bum, not worth the contract etc. But it's gotta be a combination of things and I truly believe they'll get on the same page soon.

I was willing to make a bet with Bob prior to this game that Roy got more than 5 catches. Glad I didn't. Or actually, glad he wasn't willing :)

Coming from you, I believe this is probably the most civil post ever aimed in my direction.

In those first couple of game Tony wasn't settled into a groove and he was consistently looking off his alleged #1 WR. That created instances where the ball was being thrown with a greater sense of urgency since he was already checking to his 2nd and 3rd reads (b/c lazy #1 wasn't doing anything to help the cause). So, regarding #1, I don't think I am off at all. Actually, I am pretty spot on. Tony's #1 read is now open more often than not. He is now making more cool, calm, and deliberate throws as a result of that new #1.

Yep. Good thing you didn't take that bet. :)

Value is a bit tough for me to judge, but the best I've seen so far this season....

Offense - Kyle Kosier

Defense - Jay Ratliff

Love Miles' play, but he just hasn't done it the entire season. But if he keeps playing like he has the past 3 games, that all could change quite easily.

True, but also notice that he seems to be lining up the offense with more time left on the play clock as of late. This gives him more time to survey the defense, and keeps them from teeing off when the clock strikes :00 and the ball is snapped (which was becoming the norm early in the season).

As of late he's been getting the ball snapped with anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds left on the clock. This helps his o-line drastically and lets him survey the defense a bit longer to find possible mismatches.

Mine:

Joe Decamilis - STUD coach
Miles Austin - Clear #1...

I sure wish Austin had stepped his game up before we went out and mortgaged the house on the forgettable RW11. Perhaps someone can answer a couple of burning questions.

1. Am I the only one that notices the parallel between Romo no longer making RW11 the primary target and his INTs going completely away?

2. Can someone explain to me how two people that allegedly worked so hard together in the off-season are rarely on the same page? Romo is playing at a very high level so I know it's not on him. Hrmmm...

I have three.

I still have a difficult time giving Wade any love. Garrett, I find it easier to give him some. He is on a good positive path right now.

I'll go with Romo and Austin. Ratliff, Brooking and DeCamillis are all deserving as well but Bleu said to pick two and I just don't see how you keep either one of those guys off the list.

I doubt that. It's a totally different case from say, last year when close to 50% of Romo's ints were actually intended for TO. On the int plays we just discussed, only on the int for a TD against the Gmen was the initial read supposed to be Roy.

And I absolutely love intelligent, football conversation or debate. Especially after wins :). I'm just not into the overreaction and short sightedness of calling a player garbage or emphatically stating that a player would never be something only to eat crow afterwards when we can be more patient, deliberate and thorough in our initial analysis. In your case, see Romo and Jenkins.

Slate calls Austin GARBAGE and a couple of weeks later he's making a thread about how much money we're supposed to pony up to him.

You make a prediction that we'll be 8-8 and 9-7 at best then post an "I told you so" thead after a loss.

If you're as concerned as I am about Roy's lack of production and synchronization with Romo, then I'm willing to talk about the possible causes and what we should realistically expect. Let's talk about that.

If you're talking about how much Roy sucks or how he'll never be anything for us, then pardon my back.
