baj1dallas said:I'm not saying I dislike Big Ben, I like him as a "football player". But his veteran team pretty much carried him last year. I think the whole motorcycle thing will help him in the long run because it forces him to be accountable for his decisions and to mature. He has to take his game up another level if he wants to be a top 10 QB in the league though.
It works the exact opposite with you.Eddie said:Wow, are you in 3rd grade? Peyton's the best QB in the NFL right now. You call him over-rated? Wow.
I thought we got over our NFL prejudices after elementary school. Do you argue with your co-workers over this?
Lemme guess ... Drew Bledsoe is the best QB in the NFL. To s*cked until he became a Cowboy, and now he's the best WR in the league.
All I have to say is ... WOW !!!:bang2:

I think they are both over-hyped, but if I had to chose one I would chose Eli, he is no better than Kyle Boller, JP Losman, or Kyle Orton at this point in his career but the sports casters drip all over him. Roethlisberger light years beyond Eli. And although Peyton has had a lot of success with most of his success coming under a dome, he hasn't won anything significant and chokes in big games. Now they are billing Sunday evenings game between the Giants and the Colts as the "Manning Bowl".
Too much hype for me.
ghst187 said:undoubtedly Payton.....
I started really disliking him in college because I have always absolutely hated U of Tenn and their fat*** coach, stupid annoying fight song, and proclivity to choke in big games despite perrenial monster recruiting. I always LOVED it that Spurrier OWNED U of Tenn and esp Payton. That was pure ownership. I hated it how Payton was the posterboy for college athletics his entire career at U of Tenn and then I disliked him even more because I figured they would hand him the Heisman despite losing every major game he played in. I was so elated when Woodson shocked the world by taking the trophy. You know that Payton was shocked. If only he wasn't a choker. hahaha
Then, that same hype and adoration has followed Payton to the pros. I wouldn't despise him so much if he wasn't the biggest da** dork in the free world. What really set me off on a legacy of loathing though is when everyone started comparing Payton, Harrison, and Edge to Aikman, Irvin, and Emmitt. Started calling the Colts, "the new tripletts." That is like sandpaper on my skin. I cheer and have a toast, like the '72 Dolphins, every year once Payton is eliminated, again, from the playoffs and fails, once again, to win a championship of any sorts.
I never would've cared about Eli other than rooting for him to suck because he's in our division HOWEVER that little draft day stunt instantly made me despise him and hope that he flounders an entire career. I always hoped that Rivers would outshine him by a mile and make NYG look like fools for blowing their entire draft to get Eli and SD like a genius for drafting him and trading him.
But the answer to the question is overwhelmingly....Payton. "cut that meat, cut that meat!" What a freaking tard.

Let me guess, the Cowboys were a good team until you became a "fan".
