My guess is they play the Lions game like they still need it. Then the starters play the first half against the Eagles.

Bye bye record for Zeke.

Yeah I agree.

Garrett's not big on resting starters. And I agree, they shouldn't be rested. We have the bye week for that. But I think they'll at least get half of the Eagles game.

Here's hoping Zeke puts up 260 on Monday night

I say play hard vs the lions

I want everyone rested vs the eagles we always seem to get lose players playing them, i dont want to take any chances losing a good player the last game that is meaningless

I am actually a fan of getting Romo reps in the 2nd halfs of both games just in case something happens to dak Romo will have some time to get his timing back and rust off

i want mo to play vs philly
Start but rest zeke and lee week 17.
Romo gets the 2nd half of week 17.
I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I don't rest anyone, I don't change anything... I play two more games, win those, and rest for an extra week during the wildcard bye. We are Rolling, don't mess it up!

And I will say now, I think at this point just getting Tony(maybe my favorite player ever btw) snaps for the hell of it is asking for trouble. He will either be great for a game and cause drama when we go back to Dak for the playoffs, or he will suck and lose us a game and what's left of his value. Basically we are 12 and 2, don't mess it up getting cute.

No one.

I think it would be a mistake to take our foot off the gas.

We'll have a bye week when the season is done.

That's hard enough to overcome.
I think the old CBA rules were better for teams that had HFA. Now with limited padded practices the teams that get the bye week have been much more likely to lose in the first round. I think they need to negotiate more padded for the teams that get a bye. This would allow them to be a little sharper when playing their first meaningful game.

That's a good point. Though I think the last two teams to make the SB were the no 1 seed.

these aren't madden players, football hurts. rest matters. the week preparation is what matters the most.

I'd seriously consider sitting Lee. He's the one guy on the team that the drop-off behind him is Everest-like who also has a gigantic injury history. That injury would be catastrophic for this team going into the playoffs.

I rest guys who are knicked up legitimately: D Law, Mo, Durant etc... I also get some work for my backup QB. Romo needs some reps and I play him with the 1s for a quarter or two for 3 reasons:

1. He needs some reps in case we need him in the playoffs for any reason
2. If he shows he can play at a 2014 level, his trade value increases exponentially
3. It's very likely his last hurrah as a Dallas Cowboy-- show him some love and respect end his tenure with some "feel good" moments on the field (TD to Witten or Dez or something)

I would also seriously consider getting McFadden some reps as #2 RB and I'd also see what we have in Nzeocha and Frazier.

Yeah, I gotcha. I would play it the same way. You wouldn't.

One major injury and I'd look like fool and you wouldn't. I still think it's best to play the healthy guys and sit the nicked up guys.

Am I right? Who knows?

Anyway... it is a good problem to have.
So you're playing Dak, but sitting down Smith and Green since they're nicked and going with Emmett Cleary protecting his blind side?

If Zeke has a good game this Monday and the record is within reach week 17, it wouldn't surprise me if the offensive starters (especially the linemen) campaigns hard to play the last game even if it means playing the whole game. This is close bunch.

Anyone with any type of injury. Zeke needs more rest than he's gotten. Let McFadden and Dunbar get more work for the playoffs.

If we intentionally knock the Giants out of the playoffs they're going to be talking all kinds of crap. I want to face them again and knock them out ourselves.
