I know I would like to see Romo play, as would many others, but Dak is still a rookie, and two more games of experience can only help in the playoffs. Plus, we don't need a QB controversy heading into the postseason. You never know, but I think Jason Garrett would feel the same way, so it seems unlikely to me that Tony will have any significant playing time, probably none at all.

One major injury and I'd look like fool and you wouldn't. I still think it's best to play the healthy guys and sit the nicked up guys.

Love Romo, was always in the start him corner, but it's passed his time. You don't send a rookie QB into the playoffs on a 4 week hiatus. He has earned the right to lead the team and resting him for 4 weeks does not put him in the best position to do that.

It's hard to predict what Garrett will do. He pays attention to records and there's a few to play for depending on how this Detroit game goes. Zeke is 258 rushing yards away from the rookie record, but he's also 310 yards from scrimmage away from setting total yards rookie record. They also have the 14-2 mark to go for which hasn't been done here.

I think you are right that the players will get at least a half, but if Zeke is within striking distance of either of those records, Garrett may just let them go for it.

I can't believe some of you guys. Last year it was lose to get a better draft pick, this year is lose so giants don't make playoffs......I question some of yall fan hood.

1. Giants are making it period. They only need 1 team to lose out of like 4 teams.

2. Dak is a rookie in case yall forgot and he needs playing time.

3. Don't get fat and lazy, teams aren't going to let us just ease into the superbowl we will have to earn it and you don't do that by sitting players out.

4. Some of yall want Romo even at the expense of our rookie QB, hence why yall want him to play. I say play everybody and work in the mentality of each game.

We haven't won anything yet and having the mindset to lose or sitting guys isn't the right call. Play each game as if it's the last. After we beat Philly we will have 2 weeks to rest, we need to worry about beating detriot.

Dak, Zeke, and Lee start the last 2 meaningless games and are relieved in the 2nd half by backups to get Romo, Morris, and McFadden much needed reps.

It protects the starters while still keeping them game ready while at the same time getting the backups in a position to succeed if necessary.

Dez, however, doesn't need to be rested.

Zeke has never had more than 316 touches (289 rushing + 27 rec.) in a season in college.

He's already at 341 this season with two regular season games left and hopefully a deep playoff run to-go.

It would serve him well to pull the reigns back a little these next two meaningless games.

First up. You play to win every game you play. Not to do so is an abomination. You're not doing yourself or anybody else any favors by pulling starters for no reason or tanking games.

Having said that.

Some of the backups do need playing time. That is just a fact.

And we do have some starters with nagging injuries that could be addressed before our first playoff game.

And we do have players on the injury report that we don't have to rush into service now if they need more time.

Approached in the right way, you can still field a competitive product that is capable of winning football games and giving your opponent all they can handle. While at the same time taking care of the physical needs of some players.

Hopefully that is the approach Garrett will take.
