There is no way anyone (not even Dan Snyder or Al Davis!)will trade a good receiver like Santana Moss for TO. The question here is do you cut TO or do you pay him the large bonus he has due in June. The answer is you cut him and flush twice. Simple as that. There is NOBODY stupid enough to give us draft picks or a proven good reciever for Cancer.

T.O. was facing the same coverage as he was last year. And he was beating it. The only difference i see from last year to this year was the play calling. Some of it hindered Owens but also Owens decline in skill hindered as well. His route running was terrible this year and so was his technique to beat the jam. Everyone wants to make the excuse that T.O. had Brad Johnson for 3 games but the truth is he wasn't All-WORLD before Tony Romo got hurt. He is best used when running a slant and when we ran them he always dropped the ball when it was thrown at him. I remember he caused a INT in the second Commanders game. Owens is not the player he used to be. Owens is scared to go over the middle and he shys away from contact.

It was not the same coverage as last year as was pointed out several times by commentators during games, he saw that look a few times per game last season as opposed to every other down this season. Even when he was beating the jam this year the safety help over the top means Tony can't throw the ball to the area he wants to which led to passes going elsewhere or even INT's.

T.O. in 13 games with Romo had over 1000 yards and 10 TD's, if you call that bad then where would we be with only those other receivers who can't even give you half of that? Owens last year was used in motion, was in the slot and was creating bad looks for the defence, this year Garrett lined him up in the same places every game, there was no motion and very, very little of him in the slot. A better game plan on offense and his numbers (as well as everybody else on the team) will go up.

I would like to add that this offense was totally out of sync for the latter part of the season and TO still got those numbers. Imagine if Romo and the offense were clicking? You would see about 13 TD's and 1200 yards for TO in just 13 games.
