Who here thinks Marcus Spears is a big dissapointment??

Well can we agree that in Wade's defense he will have more opportunities to rush the passer and make plays.

I can agree that in Wade's defense he will be better coached to rush the passer. I just hope he puts it into use.

I will admit that something about Spears kinda makes me worried. I know that he is known as more of a quick athletic guy, but I would hope somone of his size is powerful too, and thus far, what has worried me is that he doesn't seem as strong as I would like him.

Couldn't agree with you more my friend. The Manster was something special. His stats and accomplishments speak for themselves. However, actually watching him play was a treat for all Cowboy fans.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but Spears is not "doing well" at all. Very rare his number has even been called in a game. If he continues with his subpar play under Wade, then I would suggest you not become too attached to that jersey you are donning. LOL. :laugh1:

Guys, I for one have determined that one Marcus Spears is a big dissapointment for a 1st round draft pick. He's now going into his 3rd year with the squad and has yet to pay any major dividends. This guys just doesn't seem to have it and I am not impressed. One of those typical situations where the guy looks great in college and lost in the pros. Should we start calling him "Shante" Spears? LOL.
Let's hope Wade figures out he has a problem with this position with a seemingly less than motivated player. Bottom line, we have a problem that needs to be fixed at DE position.

I seriously doubt more than one other person adopts "Shante Spears" as a nickname for him. It's boring. So, until they do saying "many" have a differeing opinion is a bit premature. If some aren't satisfied with him but choose not to use the childish nickname then what? Pity party time?

I almost just made a Tony Romo thread, asking about why he was being coddled and why it was such a priority to 'focus on his development' when he has been in the league for 4 years.

One of the points I was going to make is that he sometimes reminds me of Brett Favre in his throw-it-in-there, cocky attitude on the field, and how I think that 9 times out of 10 I don't prefer that kind of QB. I was going to say that I think Favre is exceptionally lucky to have the career he has had, because in almost any other situation he would never have made it in this league.
