Motivated. Proactive. He lives and breathes football. For all of his shortcomings, he remains the best in the league.
If those are your requirements, why not pick Dan the man from Commanders land? Jerry means well and thank God spend dough as needed, but the best right now is probably Robert Kraft. He has spent as needed like Jerry, has a winning dynasty right now, believes in a strong coaching staff (would he hire Switzer to replace Belicheck??), and he's a "real" fan -- he used to sit in the stands watching games BEFORE buying the team!

Really this is a stupid Question...No Coach not even Jimmy Johnson who has infinitely more credentials than Parcells as a Cowboy Coach could be considered bigger than the Cowboys.

Parcells is on the Campo/Gailey level. Nothing special and most of the time Extremely disappointing.

And should be fired.

I don't see how we can totally blame Jerry Jones.

When he was too involved and interferred everybody cursed him, ... and now that he has backed off, and is letting Parcells "buy the groceries and cook the meal", some are still cursing him. Seems he can't win.

Parcells is the one that needs to be held accountable.

There is a difference between a 5-11 team, and a 9-7, lose 1st rnd playoff game team. But in the big picture, not that much.

It seems our talent level is higher, but we either won the Super Bowl or we didn't. 9-7 feels better but we still aren't good enough.

I hope part of the reason that Parcells is taking so long is because he is taking a long hard look at himself.

Is he still good enough to coach the Dallas Cowboys ?

Can he get the most out of the talent we have ?
Who can Jones go out and hire and be absolutely sure he improved the situation. I think if he knew, he would have already done so. Truth is, he can't be sure.

Parcells needs to realize the opportunity he has here, the responibility he has here, ... to the present players, the organization, past players, Jones, the fans, .. to the Dallas Cowboys family, .. you and me.

If he isn't sure he can get it done, he needs to get out of the way. It's that simple.

I couldn't imagine that he would be looking at any thing else. Parcells is the kind of coach who knows what his team can or can not do. He says it all the time and he is usually spot on. These players have to be a frustrating group.
Plenty of talent that lacks heart.

Since our last Superbowl and right now at this very moment in time...there has been ONE (well a couple more if you count his children) with the Cowboys. Jerry.

Just something to consider.

. . . Is stupid, I have to wonder at the thought process involved in answering the question. Let's see: Ugh, stupid question. Well, golly, let me answer the stoopid question!

Of course Parcells is not bigger than the Cowboys, you Rhodes Scholar!

But you know, pal, some fans have gotten to the point when they gnash their teeth over Parcells leaving. They think him a Lombardi or Landry in his prime.
Parcells is nothing special. Not anymore.

He's HOF but all that glory is behind him, palsy.

His coaching is uglier than the Florida Gators dismantling the BuckOuches on a weeknight in January. Uglier than the humuliation inflicted by the gators on a supposed contendah. ;)

But to the point: If you answer the question you cannot repudiate the question as stupid, because you felt compelled to answser. Stupid, huh?

Chill! It's only the offseason.;)

Well I feel the same.

Sure I would like to know one way or the other.

However one thing I do know...I am not going to get all bent out of shape with my knickers in a twist about it.

Nor am I going to pull a Veruca Salt screaming NOW NOW NOW and than blame it on on Bill...when the finger should be pointed at Jerry if one must point a finger.

Is Veruca Salt better than Mortons?
