Good thread.

Both are locks and deservedly so. More of a lock ? I dont think it would ever come to that. Its like having Montana and Elway on the same ballot. They are both locks regardless.

I think people forget that Jerry Rice played in a downfield offense with the Raiders, alongside another HOF player in Tim Brown and a solid #3 in Jerry Porter. With Rich Gannon and a bunch of RBs most of you guys have forgotten about (Wheatley, Garner, and Crockett).

^Its called entertainment. Thats why Deion has alot more in his bank account than Darrell Green does. Whats wrong with being a good business man???????

And Deion did go out and do his job and he did it better than Darrell Green.

You know what, im not even gonna get worked up about this Deion stuff again. Some people will just never get it. I see that now.:)

I never thought it was entrainment it looked to me like he was just being stupid. In fact the only time I enjoyed him dancing when he was doing all that stupid stuff and then he fumbled the ball on the punt return (yes that was with us) and he did not do it again the rest of the game. Now that was funny other than that I found it stupid.

^^Another lost cause. Call me when one of his teammates says he was a selfish player since he was so much for himself. Just one teammate. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee show me.

who the hell need external validation? if someone (such as myself) thinks deion was a showboat and a ME ME ME person, why do i need a teammate to validate that? i'm a big boy, i can think and see for myself.

to answer the question - both are 1st ballot locks but like many in here, i'd take the talented team player in green every time over the talented ME player in deion.

I don't know, I'd take the better player

Deion

i don't think deion was more talented, though. green played longer, w/less injury problems (as i recall) and would actually get in and HIT someone.

ok, that's nice, but Deion was a better cover corner, and shut-down his half of the field, I'd rather have that

Deion was the best of both worlds, a shutdown corner who made you pay for an errant throw

i just think green was a better all around player. it's not as if he'd let the errant throw hit the ground all the time.

Green was the better run defender, but Deion was better in the facets of coverage and playmaking ability, not saying Green didn't make QBs pay, but c'mon, he was no Deion

btw, Deion's run coverage is getting overblown, of course he didn't approach that part of the game w/ the enthusiasm that corners like Green did, but he wasn't like Sean Taylor wiffing on huge amounts of tackles either
