There is no question that having Stanley step up and win the job would be the best thing for the Cowboys. Hopefully this off season he will get the proper guidance from Phillips to make that possible. We can't count on Ferg holding up all year again.

At this stage (his second season), I'm just hoping that Stanley improves enough to take significant snaps away from Ratliff as the backup NT to give Ferguson more rest time during games. If he wins the starting role outright, that'll be gravy.

Walter Thomas wasn't drafted and could very well be in camp as an undrafted free agent, I would think.
