Wade Phillips... Three year extension, baby.

Reporter: Coach, how do you feel about signing the brand new, three year extension?

Phillips: Well...

I feel that Mr. Jones thinks that I'm...

...I'm a good head coach for his...

...team.

Wade is done unless we win it all.

Cowher wants to much power and he won't get it here.
Agreed, that would be the number one hurdle for Cowher, but just think of the implications IF he was able to convince Jerry Jones to work with him.

No. I am sober.

I just don't like the fact that this team knows if they tank Wade will take all of the heat.

Hopefully it's Wade Phillips...that would mean that the Cowboys had a very good 2009 season!

I agree with Catch, Cowher needs control he won't get it here. he needs to know that the players know he is in charge and what he say's is law. they can't go running to the owner to overturn what he says. i do think Jason gets his shot. my second choice is Shanahan

Im not the biggest Garrett fan in the world right now but I hope it is him because that means we had some success this year.

He has no excuse to not succeed with the players at hand.

Unless of course the defense is playing lights out and overcomes the incompetency of Garrett...

Will Rafael Septien return as our kicker then?

Ok. I feel dirty for laughing at this, but it caught be by surprise. Be honest, did you feel dirty typing it? Please say 'yes.'

It all depends on this season for Wade.If we make the playoffs, win a game or two(in the Playoffs),Wade stays on.Anything less than that, and He's gone.

I think totally dependent upon this upcoming season, it's Garrett or Holmgram.

The ball is entirely in Garrett's court though. With success he could be our coach for a long time to come. But fail;

2009 failure and I think it's almost a given that it becomes Holmgram in 2010. A respected, growing friend of Jerry's, and the one person with proven ability to rein in a QB like Romo, as he did with Favre making him a super bowl qb.

Shanny I think is an unrealistic flavor of the day joke. He is not qualified or ever done a thing that could be considered spectacular. He gets really angry and his face turns red, some people like that, but that's about all he's good for.

Cowher I think is someone Jerry would not want to work with. Yes he would be good but it would be just like with Parcells and the media taking direct aim at us over this. The circus would return.

Though a wild card I believe that none are mentioning is...Herm Edwards. Herm is what the late-Chiefs owner wanted to take over his team and run it. Now it didn't work out there, but one can't deny the degree of faith that was placed upon him, nor the very close relationship Jerry once had with their ill-fated owner. They were neighbors,, and friends. And in so, I wouldn't be shocked if Jerry at least considered this as an option. He would also be very good for the Cowboy's image.

I'm hoping it's Wade...meaning we kicked major *** this season.

I just want to win.

Wade has not been offered an extension and he won't be offered one. In order of preference...

1. Jason Garrett
2. Mike Shanahan
3. Mike Holmgren
4. Bill Cowher
5. Jon Gruden

This is not a pot stirring thread.

I am really interested to know our options?

Obviously after this season there will be more options... but right now?

I think Garrett may get his shot no matter what.
This would be consistent with all the other horrible moves Jerry has made over the past decade, would not surprise me.
