I got an Nvida update installed on the 28th, I didn't read the description well, but it said something about preparing for Windows 10. I believe my 660 now has DIrectX12 from what I read elsewhere.

Direct X 12 will be awesome once games are made for it.

Why is this free?

For starters, apple gives free updates on their OS, so it would be hard for MS to continue charging. Also, the more people who upgrade, the more developers will invest time creating apps and programs for it

I have an Nvidia GeForce video card and I am not having any issues after the upgrade to Windows 10. I am running 3 monitors as well.

Windows 10 is Windows 7 + 8 hybrid in one.

Will be getting it.

I dislike Mac with a passion.

Windows is like having a muscle car, whereas a Mac is like a minivan.

Out of curiosity, why do you dislike Mac so much? I see this as a common refrain from hard core Window users.

To me, I love the customization of windows. I can tweak and code just about anything personally on Windows. I grew up on it, so when I get on a mac everything to me seems really for the casual user. Mac has it's own application store, but I enjoy how windows is completely customizable.

Comes down to preference but if the user is tech savy, Windows can be more appealing for that reason.

Okay... I encountered my first real problem today with Windows 10. While viewing files in a folder that had to be scrolled down to, to see, the screen tends to automatic pop back to the top of the folder. It's really annoying when manually looking for something. At first I thought it was my wireless mouse causing it but I unplugged the mouse and used the touchpad to scroll down and it still did it. Microsoft is going to have to fix this.

Just have to update the nvidia drivers if you have any display issues. I've had zero issues with W10 so far.

Yeah, that's probably the notice I got. I just clicked close after a quick scan.

Only thing I want to know is how easy is it to get to Windows Explorer and is there a Start Menu. I just got used to Windows 8 after I installed that start widget thingy folks recommended.

The default browser is now Microsoft Edge but IE is included. You can change IE to be the default browser if that is what you prefer. I too had the "start widget thingy" on my Windows 8. I just kept it and it works fine for me on Windows 10.

What MD said. Once you've upgraded to W10/done obligatory restarts/installed GeForce Experience if you don't already have it, run the GFE driver update tool and it should update for you.
