Weeden - can we honesty say he is?

Moore - where is he at?

Cassel - how long to learn something a few things to drive bus?

?

I have no dog in this particular race. I want the best guy for that job?

I want to see one more game with Weeden. I just get over at how terrible Scott Linehan was on Sunday. Weeden deserves at least one more shot. If he's no good then give me Cassel

The Saints game is a winnable game if the QB is even half way decent. There is no doubt in my mind that Cassel will be better than Weeden. If the Cowboys start Weeden Sunday, and lose, I'm sure Cassel will get his shot the following week, but it will be against the best team in the NFL. Solution: Start Cassel this week and at least try to secure one more win before the scheduled gets brutal.

I'd like to see both Weeden and Cassell get playing time this week. If were spending draft picks on moves, they need to see the field. Then roll with the hot hand.

Weeden played pretty much the ultimate bus driver game on Sunday, if you can get him to not make that horrible interception. Kept the clock moving, ball rarely hits the ground and pray the clock runs out with your team in front.

Cassel is pretty much a bus driver personified.

Cassel is the best QB of the three, at whatever point he knows what's going on well enough to play. Won't matter if we don't play better around him, though.

I agree, what you expect from him and what NE got for much of the season was a guy who was not making a lot of mistake but played on a fundamentally sound team

Weeden won't drive off the cliff but he'll never get out of 1st gear. School will be over by the time he gets the kids there.

Lack of 10+ yard throws was the biggest problem with Weeden. Can Moore make the 10+ yard throws and throw to the sidelines?

Cassell might drive off the cliff but at least he would get out of first gear.

Agreed. If we throw Cassel in their versus the Saints and he's not mentally prepared to run the basics of the playbook, then we're even further behind the eight ball. Weeden wasn't horrible in his last outing, and clearly deserves at least one last shot. If we lose to the Saints, and he's the main reason for the loss, then let Cassel take a turn at it. Either way, the D better find ways to help our team win some football games.

Weeden was as good as a bus driver can be on Sunday. The guy made one big mistake. Matt Cassel has made plenty of them in his career.

To me, much of this is pointless. Cassel will likely not be ready for a few weeks yet. I don't believe that you can bring in a QB in a weeks time and have him ready to go. No way you can learn an offense that quickly. I think it's Weedon for now.

I am under no delusions any of the guys are the answer. In fact, I think it's likely that no matter who is the QB, we are really going to struggle to stay afloat. The only glimmer of hope is that the rest of the division kind of blows.

That said, I suspect Cassel is the best option at this point. I've seen enough of Weeden to know he's limited to the point he hurts the offense. Whether the coaches don't trust him to put the ball down the field or he's too chickenpoop to throw down the field, this team cannot win as presently constituted by trying to dink and dunk your way down the field with 50% or more of your pass attempts to your running backs. But that's Weeden. He's another member of the Captain Checkdown Society.

I've seen enough to know that in another week or so, once Cassel gets a better understanding of the O, thta he needs to take over.

Funny but probably accurate
