I disagree. His whole team knew they could count on Eli just like they did in the past. They knew he would not be a weak link or choke artist.
Would Romo have played as well as Eli did in the NFC championship? IMO....no freaking way. The 49'ers KILLED Eli and he just kept getting back up and coming forward. You don't think that motivates a team? Coughlin is a good coach and he played a big role too.... but please don't act like Eli didn't motivate his team with his persevering play every single game of the playoffs and the superbowl.
