Havent had one of those since they cut Roy "oops I dropped and will smile my way all the way back to thuddle" Williams.

Couldn't stand Deion as a Cowboy and can't stand him on NFLN.

Surprised no one has mentioned Jackie Smith. The only play anyone can remember with him as a Cowboy was his dropped TD pass in SB XIII.

That's because there's a crap ton of posters that have no idea about their team and its history. Sad, but true.

Glad I read all the way to the end.
I was thinking this. But it was that one play and more than the player. But that was a big time drop in a big game.

It may have been one play but that one play went down as the biggest flub in SB history. Some of the players that are being mentioned as least favorite Cowboys is due to some bad plays and Smith's drop is one of the all-time screw ups. A lot of Cowboy fans blame him for that SB loss. That drop in the SB is the only footage we have of Smith as a Cowboy because he didn't catch a single pass his one season with the team in 1978.

There's a lot of fans here who weren't following the Cowboys back then. They've seen the play many times on film but they didn't live it. They're bringing up players they watched growing up. To truly dislike a player you have to experience at least some of their career as it unfolded.

I wasn't alive for the Jackie Smith drop, but everytime I see it along with Lundquist's call. It makes me cringe.

Just because you weren't alive for a certain era, doesn't mean you can't go back and do some research.

It's just me, but I saw Super Bowl XIII live on television. The drop replays within my mind's eye anytime I'm reminded of it (for which I say thanks to those who did so on this thread/thanks a lot). Still doesn't affect my choice though. Different strokes for different folks.

Honestly, I hated Mike Vanderjagt.

I was reading through this post to see if anyone posted this... surprised it popped up so quickly.

Hands down Mike Vanderjagt for me. That guy was a feminine hygiene product and he was absolutely awful for us. Even though he was here for... what, half a year? I just couldn't stand the guy.

Jackie did catch a TD pass from Danny White in the Divisional playoff game against Atlanta that year...

I guess your gonna give Randy White a pass for his fumble on the kickoff which he should have just fallen on it...White's left wrist was in a cast and for some unknown reason, he had the ball in his left hand on the return...Randy's fumble was recovered by Tony Dungy...

Clint Longley. He had one great game and let it go to his head and then became a jerk, thinking he should start ahead of Roger Staubach. Then he punched Staubach in the locker room. No one punches Roger Staubach!
