Travis Hunter but no way I see him falling.

I hope that Graham or Tmac falls to us.

If one does, take them.

I am a fan of the elite pass rusher in Carter. He also gives us the trade option for Parsons if a deal can’t be worked out as he would be an easy replacement.
Carter is a good prospect but as a PSU homer living here in central PA, I don't think that he is the player that Parsons is. He flashes at times, but he also disappears at times even more so. I don't think he is nearly as good in the run game either. He can get washed out fairly easily and has a tough time setting an edge. He's a better LB than DE IMO. In the NFL he should be a 3/4 OLB, with his length and speed probably drop in coverage as much as he pass rushes.

He does have a knack for flashing when the lights and cameras are brightest, which adds to his hype. Maybe in the NFL that becomes more prominent. As much as I like him, he wouldn't be my first choice at DE for Dallas. They need a more all around player who is as strong in the run game as he is a pass rusher.

Thanks for the scouting report. I watch Penn St. games because I am a Coach Franklin fan because of his Maryland ties. Carter was always considered the next Parsons. He probably is not as fast but Carter is bigger. Unfortunately I don’t think this a great draft so a player like Carter will probably be a top 5 selection. To me he is the best pass rusher in this draft and it’s not close. I just think a Parsons, Overshown, and Carter pass rush package would be devastating.

This is entirely the wrong draft for that, unfortunately.
Agreed but I wouldn’t mind one picked in the middle to try and develop. This is the draft to fix the defense IMO, especially the front seven.

a mid round pick, 4th or 5th, are picks that I want to use to try and hit on a WR or an overlooked player on defense.

As the Cowboys drop out of the top 10, I'm leaning and hoping that they take Kenneth Grant from Michigan.

I like it, he’s the next best bet after Graham
If we miss out on Graham, Grant, and Jeanty, I would be interested in Josh Simmons ot Ohio State, and J T Tuimoloau edge Ohio State. I think Simmons is the best olineman in the draft, but he had early season knee surgery. I think he is worth the shot at pick 12 or later because he is so good and there aren't any other olineman that stand out.

Whoever it is, I hope it’s in the trenches. The skill position players can come later, pretty deep at RB and WR.

I'm thinking that I would draft in this order:
1. Mason Graham dt Michigan
2. Kenneth Grant dt Michigan
3. Ashton Jeanty rb Boise State
4. Josh Simmons ot Ohio State
5. J T Tuimoloau edge Ohio State
6. Tyler Warren te Penn State

If I am Dallas, I would come away with one of those players in the 1st round.

Woof…if we’re picking outside of the top 10 you take the top 10 player that slides.

Grant, Simmons and JT would be pretty big reaches.

1st - if available Mason Graham (if he is already selected - WR Burden III gives us a weapon don’t have) Don’t mind Jeanty either but I’m hesitant to take an RB that high with the class being loaded.

Best option if Graham is gone - Trade down candidates in the teens and pick up an extra 3rd, possibly 3rd & 4th.
DT - Derrick Harman - He’s a beast, watch the tape
S - Malaki Starks - sneaky need, why not take the best
RB - Jeanty could fall
Edge - Abdul Carter - him and Parsons could be fun

If we trade further down then the other DTs will come into play:
DT - Walter Nolan
DT - Kenneth Grant
DT - Tyleik Williams

This most likely all changes before April!

We’ll add safety to our list of needs. It looks like both our young safeties are done for the season.

Starks is ranked high…but I don’t love a safety top 15 unless he’s a Derwin James type of dude.

Media scouts like him I just need to watch him more. If he can be a Brian Branch do it all type I’d consider him if he were picking around 15.

Starks is very interesting. Supreme athlete and a very versatile S. I wonder of he is pretty good at alot of things, but great at nothing though

and i'm well aware that our michigan dlineman in rd1 curse is a real thing.
although mazi smith is playing better.

Don't complicate the draft, there's a surplus of DT/NT type big men, go get one in the 1st round to pair with Mazi. If you get wiped out look at LT options then RB.

Trenches first, baby.
