Those two are very good.
One actor who shed his pretty boy image and has become the real deal is DiCaprio
Liked him a lot in Blood Diamond and The Departed.

Jack Nicholson anyone?

I agree about DiCaprio, he is a fantastic actor. He was even good in Titanic, when he was still just a pretty-boy, but some of his recent movies have required some serious acting chops. He's going to be playing Teddy Roosevelt in the up-coming Scorsese directed 'The Rise of Teddy Roosevelt'.

Nicholson does great work usually too, although I didn't really like him in 'The Departed'.

My all-time favorite is John Wayne. Like Hos said, I don't think he was necessarily the best actor, but it's a nostalgic thing for me. So many of my favorite memories are of watching his movies with my parents and siblings. He also represented an American hero well.

I have a list of my favorite movies and realized that Kevin Costner is in several of them (Dances With Wolves, Untouchables, Field of Dreams, 13 Days, Open Range, etc.), so he belongs very high on my list.

I think the late Glenn Ford is one of the most underrated actors of all time.

My other favorites:

Clint Eastwood (Outlaw Josey Wales is my favorite ... also like Absolute Power, In the Line of Fire, Bloodwork and the Harry Calahan films).

Robert DeNiro (Heat, A Bronx Tale and Midnight Run are my favorites).

Robert Duvall (Lonesome Dove, Open Range, The Natural).

Kurt Russell (Tombstone and the old Disney stuff from the late 1960s).

Richard Farnsworth (The Natural, The Grey Fox).

Gene Hackman is better.

What's with the Jon Malckovich hard-on that people have? I don't get that.

He's always the same dude in every movie. He's always the side-ways weirdo supporting actor who we all have to consider "brilliant" because he whispers all of of his lines, and he's some kind of killer while he whispers..............

Him and Steve Busceme are a couple of really ugly guys who seem to get good parts. But I don't see the "great actor" in either of them, because they always play the same guy. There's always the ugly guy who they shove down our throats, and because their so ugly, they HAVE TO BE great actors.

I don't get it.

Do pornstars count as actresses? Can I mention their names without getting a week's vacation or demerit or detention?
