...is you must give it a try.

Do not go to a lower standard establishment. Find one where the Japanese people are the patrons and the proprietors.

It's one of the prime world foods that one should try if you are a foodie.

That looks awesome! It's so easy to appreciate and respect someone who has mastered their craft like that.

I agree, all that dedication and hard work to perfect something you love. It's admirable. To be deemed a national treasure is incredible, and he kept the same tiny sushi joint under the subway station the whole time. My friend heard about this documentary and showed it to me; looks incredible. I haven't seen it yet but I am going to watch it tomorrow.

Today, a dinner at his restaurant costs $375. Oh, and wait list to get a seat there is three years long!

That's so crazy but absolutely believable. It's cool to see the restaurant placed where it is. It's a diamond in the rough.

By the way, where are you watching it?

No thanks I don't eat raw fish

I like sushi, but I only have the types without raw fish. Crab rolls, tempura shrimp rolls, California rolls, et al.

I've had the raw fish kind but it's really not my thing.

I like sushi, but I stick with the cooked kind. I'm too scary to try the raw kind. I'm sure it's delicious, but no.

That said, I like all the varieties of the cooked sushi.

sushimi..........just once. You gotta try it. :)

Ok i'll be honest, the fried stuff is pretty good, but still I can't have more than a few pieces. After that I don't even want to look at it or smell it. I much prefer hibachi.

Why do people keep repeating this?

The most popular sushi styles do not involve raw fish. You could go into a restaurant and order tons of items that did not have raw fish

Because that's what you're taught growing up. Sushi = raw

It wasn't until I actually went to have sushi with a friend who was a pseudo expert that I learned differently. I love it now.
