I agree with you...I hope they keep Showers who can play ST on the 53 instead. He's a least some use
besides holding a clipboard on game day!

Agree on the DBs, its a deep group that will be able to use different, rested players at multiple positions. I also think it will be hilarious if Claiborne starts and has a solid season.

Hilarious isn't the word I would use. I would like him to pay us back some for what it cost to draft him. The only negative would be that if he finally plays well, he'll likely leave as a free agent next year. Still, one early first-round pick quality year is better than none.

I acknowledge that keeping 11 DL is a little high (especially since we'd actually be keeping 12 with Hardy), so one of those guys might go for a ninth OL. We also could keep Keith Smith over one of the DL if he continues to play like he did the other night and contribute on ST.

If McClain makes it over Coleman I am going to be annoyed.

I do think there's a chance Bishop beats out T. McClain, though, if Bishop proves reliable. McClain definitely showed he can be an asset when he's in there, but I think he has to be out there to win a spot unlike Hayden, who apparently holds the Golden ... umm ... ticket.

He made several plays for us when healthy: 19 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble. I saw some good things from him, but we didn't really see enough of him to determine we should continue carrying him.

He needs to get out there and prove he's a better player than Coleman and Bishop if he wants to stick.
