Moose is a very big reason why Emmitt was able to play so long. Emmitt preferred (demanded?) that he have a lead fullback to clear some of the debris away....and he had one of the very best.

"Cowboys Have Always Been My Heroes" by Peter Golenbock is the best book on the Cowboys ever written or likely to be. "Time Enough to Win" by Roger Staubach is excellent as well.

Yeah, I got "Time Enough to Win" through Scholastic in elementary school. That was a great book. Wish I still had it.

With Roger, the Cowboys were never out of a game until the clock read 00:00.
