PT, Im not too worried about the losses and feel that the additions far outweigh the players that you mentioned.

But on to a different topic, how do you feel about the eagles LB's this year. Trotter is getting up there in age, he still did an excellent job stopping the run behind the DT's, but whats his range like sideline to sideline....i watched some eagles games last year, i think he can get exploited in pass coverage.

In 2005 most of the Eagles defensive squad started to look aged. But a large part of that could Be attributed toward the ineffectiveness of the Eagles injured offensive squad that didn't not give any time for our defense to rest. Trotter will have plenty of help in 2006 with ...Bunkley, Cole, Jasper, Kearse, McDougle (healthy after the 2005 gunshot Incident), and "the Dawk."

I'm hoping for a performance as good as our 2004 squad.

PT you've got to get it right bro. It isn't who will come back to haunt us. It's who will make us "Rue the day."

In my opinion, the 2006 Cowboys are stronger - much stronger. Just the return of Flozell Adams makes them a much stronger team than the one that struggled to end 2005. To say nothing of all the improvements through free agency and the draft.

We'll see. One player usually doesn't make the difference on an offensive/defensive squad. FA are struggling to learn the Play books ...Rookies ...are rookies!

Understand. Question: ...stronger or weaker in 2006?

In my opinion, anything that keeps Torrible Tucker off the field is a good thing. The Cowboys offense basically collapsed when Adams went down and "Mother" Tucker came in. I was never happier to see a player "signed away" by another team.

And don't forget, Dallas' defense still managed a Top 10 ranking despite all the rookies playing 3-4 for the first time last year. I'm looking for an even better 2006.

agree, you'll have a nice dline rotation and bring pressure. if i was an offensice coordinator facing the eagles defense id look to get my passes off quick and work the short-middle zones, try to get some good matchups on your LB's with TE's or RB's, see if TO can take advantage of Dbacks with quick out or slants and run some HB sweeps or screen passes.

I think we will be stronger running the ball than many think. We have OL that can actually pull and be effective. Now, pass protection is yet to be seen. But you can rest assure it will top priority in TC, always is.
I don't worry about too many hauntings. Key, maybe....

I worry about TO's attitude.......ALOT.

The Cowboys? Or who are you talking about if not them?

Stronger.

Vanderjagt alone improves the STs, but we also added Boiman, Watkins, and Skyler Green, making it potentially the most improved unit on the team. Plus Beriault comes back from injury. Lost in our kicking woes last year was the fact our coverage teams were already decent. Now they will be better. If Green is a good return man and gives us some time at 4th WR, then this is a big upgrade.

Carpenter & Ayodele are immediate improvements on the LB corps. In addition to this we get back a healthy Burnett and add Boiman, and possibly upgrade with Hoyte or Parham.

The secondary got better with the additions of Coleman & Watkins, plus Beriault is coming back healthy and Anthony Henry should be as well.

The D-line lost Glover, and that's significant, but it also gets back Ratliff and adds Hatcher and Stanley. On top of this Spears will be healthy and so will Canty. Neither were 100% in 2005. Scary thought.

Overall the D got younger, faster, and bigger and is a group no longer comprised of neophytes in the 3-4.

We added some OL depth. This will offset the loss of one of my favorites Larry Allen. Flo comes back healthy, Petitti comes back healthy and with an off season focused on RT and strength, and agility. Rivera comes back healthy, and reports say Al Johnson added quite a bit of bulk and strength. Good news for the OL.

Terrell is more than enough to offset the loss of Key. Crayton is healthy again, Skyler Green was the player the DBs at the Senior Bowl said was the hardest to cover. Glenn becomes more dangerous by the acquistion of TO. On top of this the Cowboys plan to use the 2 TE set in ways no defense has yet had to deal with. In other words, potential matchup problems.

If Julius Jones is healthy then keying on the pass isn't going to be advantageous to any D.

Bledsoe is what he is, a wily veteran who now has more protection and more weapons.

Is it enough? I'm not ready to say that. But stronger? Yeah, I think we're a lot stronger.

So Phoenix- you only have two playmakers on O in Mcflabb and Westbrook. Dallas has Bledsoe, TO, GLenn, WItten. I am not counting JJ since that would be unfair to the birds. But I could count him and Fasano. Thats THREE TIMES as many.

December 10th at high noon, in Dallas.

Sean Payton will make his return with Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Duece McAllister, Joe Horn, and Donte Stallworth in tow.

thats assuming that no one is injured of that group. I have my doubts that Reggie Bush can hold up with the load I think he will be getting.

I'm not so sure about that! I can't even locate where in the NFL did Jacob Rogers land.

If Jacob Rogers is in the league still he won't come back to haunt anybody. My point was not that he would come back to haunt Dallas; it was to point out that his not panning out in Dallas has contributed to a void that is left on our OL's depth chart. It's that lack of OL depth that is more likely to haunt Dallas in 2006 than any specific players we cut or lost in free agency. I'm not worried about any of the guys we lost returning against us with their new teams. I am most worrried about injuries to our OL starters and not having the depth to fill the holes.

Let's see ..you say you have Witten, Bledsoe, Glenn, and TO ? I have ...you win! Sure, I'll admit it. You have more play-makers than we do. But since when did that mean beans!? We all know very well that games are won and lost at the "line-o-scrimmage!"

Key...Great effort guy...yep, he'll hurt us...with a 9 yard reception..and 1 yard run after catch.

also because we have Anthony Henry to match up with him, while Newman gets Steve Smith
