I've followed the draft and FA acquisitions closely this year. While the Commanders and Giants didn't really do anything spectacular this year, the Cowboys (like in 2005) didn't do too bad; and even better in the FA acquisitions. However, some key/pivotal players we lost in the mix ...
Larry Allen (G); now with the Rams ...haunting begins:
Sat 8/26
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVT CBS11)
7:00 p.m.
KeShawn Johnson (WR); now a Carolina Panther ...haunting begins:
Sun 10/29.........
Carolina (NBC)
7:15 p.m.
LaRoi Glover (DT); who replaced him -- can he be replaced?
Not scheduled for a haunting in 2006
Dat Nguyen - Retired - March 3, 2006
Jacob Rogers (OT) cut 3/17/2006
That said, is a good QB (Bledsoe) and a play-maker wide-receiver (Owens), enough for the Dallas Cowboys offensive side of the ball, able to do what it takes to ward off defensive beasts from NFC-East teams ...?

stasheroo said:...And who are you to judge the Cowboys' draft as mediocre anyway?
Phoenix-Talon said:Listen, this isn't between you and me ...don't get upset with me, do you read ESPN, or Sports Talk? There's plenty of other sports writers who many are saying the same thing about your 2006 Draft ratings.

I'd say the OL is a mixture of youth and age, and will be better in 2006 than it was in 2005, barring injuries of course.Phoenix-Talon said:Listen Hos, I know good football Savvy when I hear it.
But, I'll give it the old college try anyway. Ok, your overall team is stronger ...but what about OL depth? Would you say that you have a young or old OL. It's another year gone by and your draft was mediocre
Phoenix-Talon said:He's already haunted us ...but he may just haunt you too!
Hostile said:If you think the OL is in a state of stasis or decline PT, I guess you'll need to show me where. 3 injured starters, a rookie playing out of his natural position, and a C giving away the snap counts in 2005 gave our offense serious issues to overcome. Barring injuries, 2006 is going to be leaps and bounds better.
So then the consensus is stronger in 2006?Phoenix-Talon said:No reason to doubt you Hos; I'm sure you know your team very well -- as I do my own team.
We'll see how things play out in 2006.

IMNSHO, PT is the best Eagles fan I've ever come across. I give him respect and I get it back.5Stars said:I think he likes you Hostile! He "bolded" your name (with that sophisticated HTML stuff)...!

It's a pleasure to relax and be a fan of a winner...rather then a loser...

At least he stays here, through thick and thin...unlike some RedStink fans that I know...!
IMNSHO? What does that mean?
