That's what I've been saying all summer. This defense has not had their starters, (whoever they may be), play one snap of football together throughout camp. How are they suppose to be better than last year?

Seriously, I can't figure out what they're thinking on this. I know McClain's uncertainty has caused a little of it, which is one reason I wasn't too big on bringing him in. But you'd think they'd take the first couple weeks of camp to decide who is playing where and then let them settle in. It's amazing to me that six days from the first game they're still moving people around.

really when was this?

McClain had been drafted with the hopes that he could help improve the Raiders' run defense, an area where the team had been consistently among the worst in the league. Following a string of poor first round picks by late owner/GM Al Davis, the selection of Rolando McClain was applauded by many analysts. Throughout his tenure however, McClain has not only failed to help bolster the defense against the run, but he has also shown to be a liability in pass coverage

During the 2012 NFL season, in which the Raiders' defense struggled and was statistically the worst defense in the league, McClain saw his playing time decrease following a 37-6 rout by the division rival Denver Broncos. During a week 4 game against Denver, McClain played in 73 snaps, but following the bye, the Raiders made the decision to replace him with 4th round rookie Miles Burris in their nickel package, resulting in McClain playing only 17 snaps compared to Burris' 55 in the week 6 game against the Atlanta FalconsHead coach Dennis Allen was quoted as saying that he has been impressed with Burris' ability to make corrections on the fly, saying the linebacker was not a "repeat offender" when it came to mistakes and a smart football player overall, indicating the coaching staff's belief that McClain was guilty of poor decision-making and too many erro

Durant.

Cowboys appear to want McClain to do it but he isn't ready yet. Durant knows the system.

I'd expect to see Carter, Durant and Wilber to start the season and then when McClain has a full grasp of the system and gets his body where it needs to be, we'll see a shift because he's a better linebacker than Durant.

Whether that shift will mean Durant ends up in Carter's spot probably depends on how Carter plays in these first few games.

Guess I was wrong in thinking the starting group we saw during the preseason would actually be the starting group in the first game.

I do think McClain, Durant and Carter could possible be our three-best linebackers, but you would think they would at least work them together some in a preseason game or two.

lol really wikipedia? you do know that wiki is written by normal people? He wasnt the problem with the defense. He was his own problem with his personal life. If you want to talk about him talk about him talk about him in the time he;s been a Cowboy. And in that time he has shown very good coverage skills. He's broken up quite a few pass plays.

They also benched him during nickel situations.

I don't trust Rolando to be 100% (mentally and physically) all year but our other options are so bad right now he needs to play as much as possible now until someone else steps up.
