DE is set. DLaw, Armstrong, Fowler, and Williams are your top four ends, with Golston doing tweener stuff.

DT is a mess. Gallimore is easily the most talented guy and IMO is ready for a big breakout year. Osa's 3rd round pedigree will get him snaps. After that it's a JAG soup. There are 3 roster spots for like 6 players, and it's hard to say who will come out of it. Hill did make a strong case tonight.

Edge:
  1. Lawrence
  2. Armstrong
  3. Williams
  4. Fowler
  5. Basham
Tackle:
  1. Gallimore
  2. Odigzuwa
  3. Bohanna
  4. Golston
  5. Hill
The no.5 tackle I could go any way between Ridgeway, Watkins, and Hill but Hill has shown the most in pre-season. There's a very real chance we do some roster shuffling bringing back Watkins after moving one of our guys to IR. Harder to do with guys on rookie contracts (Hill/Ridgeway) because they can be claimed.

I don't see us keeping fewer than last year. We lost Gregory and Urban and added Fowler and Ridgeway. I think if there is a crunch, Basham probably gets traded for a late round pick

I think the light goes on for Hill this year. He’s playing for his second contract…

I get T.Crawford vibes from Hill. Which is not good. Have a pretty good contract year, finally, and then after he makes his money, he is back to his old ways. I just don't trust the guy. You know the FO will pay him if he has a good year, Stephen likes his guys.

I think we might put too much emphasis on the pretend games instead of what the coaches see at practice and in scrimmages.

It is really hard to evaluate their performances in these pretend games because of the unknown factor of who they are facing on the other side of the line. Even when one HC decides to play his starters a little, he does not get cooperation from the other HC. The fear of losing critical starters rules the preseason and I really don't blame them.

I still believe Hill is actually the most physically gifted but is only now starting to put it all together. That play he made to create the turnover was Aaron Donald-esque! But Gallimore is no slouch either in that regard. It's funny that Hill still looks like a baby in the face and Gallimore (who is actually I think a year older than Hill) looks like he's 30. Not that that has anything to do with the price of tea in China.. it just amuses me.
