I think the true answer is somebody is getting traded. Basham and Watkins are the most likely candidates.. Solid vets but not drafted by this team so no real loyalty..

I should add that the Tafua kid was all over the place last night. Gonna be had to hide him on the waiver wire..

Just one more reason why you can't justify keeping Ridgeway on the 53.

I think Gholston may actually be in trouble, too.

Maybe Basham over Gholston.

Ridgeway has something to him imo, he’s got a little bit of a nasty streak. I saw two plays that I liked yesterday, finished product no but I can’t see us cutting him.

Ridgeway looks like camp fodder if you're being objective. Other guys like 94 stand out more than him, and that's against deep backups.

He has to be the most overrated 5th round draft pick in forever. No idea why he got so much love.

Keep that in mind next year when you hear the "expert" camp observers hyping players.

lawrence
Armstrong
Fowler
Williams
Golston

odigizuwa
Gallimore
Watkins
Bohanna
Hill

practice squad:

ridgeway

Possible trade :

Basham

DL unit (10)
DE:
1 Dlaw
2 Armstrong
3 Fowler
4 Williams
5 Golston

DT
6 Gallimore
7 Osa
8 Hill
9 Bohanna

10 Watkins ?
11 Bridgeway ?

Will we keep 9..or 10 DL ?
- this is where i see the hardest count, hardest decision... Watkins is experience but he's replaceable
Basham played well vs Chargers but he's really up against a numbers game.

- Bridgeway hasn't stood out,..in either preseason or training camp, ..but i could see him on the practice squad -and next offseason program,
building up the peanut butter nutrients and NFL conditioning for next year's camp.

I still believe Hill is actually the most physically gifted but is only now starting to put it all together. That play he made to create the turnover was Aaron Donald-esque! But Gallimore is no slouch either in that regard. It's funny that Hill still looks like a baby in the face and Gallimore (who is actually I think a year older than Hill) looks like he's 30. Not that that has anything to do with the price of tea in China.. it just amuses me.
If Gallimore looks 30, Vasher looks 50.

I get T.Crawford vibes from Hill. Which is not good. Have a pretty good contract year, finally, and then after he makes his money, he is back to his old ways. I just don't trust the guy. You know the FO will pay him if he has a good year, Stephen likes his guys.
Won’t matter
He’s not getting a big contract here

Ridgeway looks like Bo did last year
A late round NT is gonna need to develop
It’s a really tough position
I don’t think he makes the 53 but I think they hang onto him on PS

If they can’t trade Basham, I would keep him and keep 11 DL instead of 3 QB”s or 4 TE’s.
Preferably they keep only 2 QB’s

Seems fairly accurate at this point unless we go extra long at the position. Could see us going 11, with 5 linebackers and 11 DBs, but we'd have to go two short on offense with 27 defenders.

Personally, with Bohanna and Hill stepping up, there’s a chance Watkins is the guy on the bubble. His primary reason for being on the roster was veteran trust and the unknown with the youngsters.

Possibly, but I'll believe it when I see it. He's a veteran guy who played fairly decently and I think Quinn values that, but we did bring him back on a cheap, one-year deal.
