Interior DL could be the strength of this defense.

I'd love to have an Aaron Donald, but I'll take a rotation of 4-5 guys that can play well

Hill is the closest thing we have.

Ridgeway looks like camp fodder if you're being objective. Other guys like 94 stand out more than him, and that's against deep backups.

He has to be the most overrated 5th round draft pick in forever. No idea why he got so much love.

Keep that in mind next year when you hear the "expert" camp observers hyping players.
Lol you ain't lying, don't see nothing special about him. There was a poster on this board that said he watched film and he didn't think Jordan Davis was that much better that Ridgeway, lol. Unbelievable hype

I'm afraid I wouldn't pay much attention to that poster. If anything, Davis was underdrafted. He's got a top 5 skillset.

Ridgeway is much more talk than walk.

But he's a Jerry favorite as both love to self promote.

Ridgeway's metrics and production do not warrant such high expectations.

I am pretty much the same as you on the list....but I agree, we probably will trade a player for a swing tackle. wouldn't surprise me to see Hill go to get a legit Swing tackle as Basham won't fetch much outside of another scrub we already have.

I think they are show casing Hill in preseason, that's why he is getting so many snaps. after 4 years they know what they got, so why play him so much.

Pushing a RB down who wasn't down yet isn't a blatant penalty. My god how soft we have gotten
Right. That’s exactly the nasty attitude we’ve missed since?? Colombo? Idk, but the 90’s teams that we all long for had that too.

Yeah I absolutely love Hill's toolset. And you're right about the spring in his step. It shows in his first step quickness time and time again. But going horizontal to get the strip sack was amazing. And his motor just keeps showing up. The presence to keep playing and going to get the ball after the strip along with his numerous plays chasing the ball to the other side of the field. I really hope Quinn's message gets through to him.. cause I have a feeling that if he ever puts it together he's going to be an absolute beast.. and I don't want it to be for somebody else.
Hill is going to have to be coddled. Looking at his past, he appears to be the guy who is simply oversensitive, needs constant reaffirming that he is appreciated.

If you want to stop the run this year, you keep Hill.

If they get a LT, it'll just be signing one.

We don't have anyone that anyone else is interested in trading for.

Cowboys need Hill too much to trade him.

Might be the case.. But if he is he certainly won't be the first talented player who could not reach his potential without the right voice in his ear. Half the guys in the Hall of Fame would admit their careers would have been very different had they not landed with the right coach or in the right system to allow them to maximize their talent. Yes there are plenty who would be studs in any system or any situation.. but those guys are rare. Think Emmitt rushes for 18000 yards if the Cowboys don't hire Norv? And then replace him with Zampese, essentially Norv's mentor? I don't.. Haley probably gets kicked out of the league if he doesn't get traded out of San Fran. The examples are many and varied. Remember how amazing John Jefferson was in San Diego with Dan Fouts? Getting into trouble and then getting traded to a revolving door QB situation in Green Bay cost him his chances at the Hall. I could go on and on but I know you get the drift.. I just like strolling down memory lane!! :)
