wrong what won us the game 8 or 9 passes - I believe your wrong about Romo and our line - we draft a LT an a G then we are set for the long run

...dude you just have'nt been paying attention have you????

...what happened at the end of the game [57 1/2 minutes to be exact] is the exception that proves rather than disproves the rule...

...how many balls were dropped today in critical situations...

...Romo is on pace to take more sacks than he's taken since he started in 2006...the loss of Columbo will be felt...it reared its head in the run game today...23 sacks when he was only sacked 24 times the entire 2007 season...

...if anything we should be fortunate that Haynesworth was absent and the running game kept the time of possession more balanced...had Barber not fumbled it is very likely they would've scored on that drive...

...Williams is giving the Cowboys nothing right now...in the first half he was targeted 3 times, one of which was tipped so two were legitimate would be catches [high]...the throws were off by Romo but a catch rate of 0% [0-4] never looks good for any receiver let alone one of the perceived caliber of Roy Williams...everyone else was at or above 50%...

...the really unnerving part about it is one was tipped and the other was miscommunication...the two others arguably should've been caught...but Williams is'nt a guy you can count on a 100% catch rate...if he catches one of the two, what does that REALLY change on a day like today...Williams is a guy you probably have to really target to get the most out of him but the Dallas offense is'nt about that anymore...sorta like Owens, with his tendency to have a case of the dropsies at times...

...Romo does'nt have trust, faith, confidence, or comfort in his connection with Roy and i don't know how long this goes on before it reaches a boiling point...

...that said, i'm convinced that the Barber fumble set the tone in the same way that the early overthrow to Austin set the tone in the Denver...

...the o-line disappears too much for my money...patches where the both run-blocking and pass protection breaks down...what won the game was execution...something that was missing in the first 57 1/2 minutes of the game...and perhaps Washington not wanting to give up the big play...it's easier to look good in the two-four minute offense...and that's not to take away from the game winning drive but it was almost too little, too late...

The Patriots won their first few super bowls with a strong defense that relied on an offense that didn't make misakes. The colts for all of their pass happy offense won when they played a very inept offensive team in the Bears, and the Steelers Super Bowl win a couple of years back was won more by the running game. Last years Super bowl did involve two pass happy teams but the year before it was the Giants running game and defensive line that killed the Pats chances at a perfect season and the title.

...the Steelers were not pass-happy in last years Superbowl...that is a fallacy...they ran the ball 26 times and threw it 30...that's pretty balanced to me...

...the fact that NYG beat NE probably underscores the fact that running a 25-75% mix favoring the pass might not be the best way to try and win a superbowl against a good front four...the shotgun ain't the answer to everything, no matter how good your quarterback is at finding the least covered receiver...

...New England's scorching offense was reduced to a pedestrian 14 points over four quarters of football...and that was one the best offenses in league history, better than 2000's GSOT [st. louis] and Indy in 2006...at one point they had a DVOA of 49.9% on offense, better than any offense since 1994...they still lost by 3 points...and the great Dallas offense in 2007?...excellent by all measures at 31.0% offensive DVOA, but almost 20 percentage points less than NE...
