Babe Laufenburg
First one that popped into my head.

OK, so there are players that didn't live up to expectations and then there are guys that were just plain bad. I think a lot of people are choosing the first but it really should be about the second.

Torrin Tucker was pretty damned bad. Ben DiNucci is really freaking bad. Drew Henson was pretty bad given the hype.

The Cowboys have had a few players over the years that could be ranked in the hopeless category. One player that stands out to me was Jacob Rogers a tackle we drafted in the second round in 2004. He had an injury history coming out of college. He wasn’t able to win a starting job and played only two games for us mostly on special teams. He suffered a shoulder injury and had to have surgery. He then suffered a series of other injuries and didn’t seem to be motivated to play. I remember Bill Parcells criticizing him. Many questioned his heart. The team finally got fed up and released him prior to the 2005 season. Can’t remember a premium draft pick that we got as little out of as him. A measly two games and that was it.

That's a really good call. As far as expectations go, he stunk. David LaFleur as well. THanks for that one Troy.

Many probably don’t remember Jacob Rogers because he lasted only one season playing 2 games. He was as worthless a player for the Cowboys as I can remember. David LaFeur wasn’t what we were hoping for but he was a good blocker. We drafted him to be a receiving TE to replace Jay Novacek. LaFleur did have 7 TD catches in 1999. Aikman rated him ahead of Tony Gonzalez which is why I always laugh every time someone brings up Troy Aikman as a GM.

Quincy went 10-6 and took an average team to the playoffs
clearly a case of dislike more than anything else.

If I had a vote here is an old one: Tody Smith, younger brother of Bubba Smith. Selected in the 1st rd of the 1971 draft and did jack for us

Answer any way you think the criteria fits.

the first name that popped into my head was chad Hutchinson but I don’t think that’s really fair. He just kind of looked like a goober. No one likes chads.

couple other names like Justin beariault shouldn’t really count but you can go that way.

we kicked around guys like Phil costa and Alan ball for what seemed like years.

david buehler our backup kickoff specialist definitely didnt contribute much.

Screw all that it was Quincy carter. He is our worst player of all time
Dakota "Ten Toe Mediocre Sloth" Prescot! A thinking man's QB is not!

Joseph Randle has to be right up there. After Demarco Murray left in free agency, that guy was handed the keys to the kingdom. He was set up to be ‘the guy’, running behind the best line in the league at that time.

He squandered the opportunity so badly that I think he’s currently in prison.
I'm trying to forget that guy.
