Who was the absolute worst most hopeless player to ever play for the Dallas Cowboys

I forgot Gavin Escobar. Drafted in the 2nd round most draft publications and internet draftniks had him as a 3rd. I didn't even like him as a 3rd. But they drafted him high anyway, couldn't block, everyone knew that but he also couldn't catch. :banghead:
My draft go-to had him as a 7th.

This will be the easiest question I have ever answered related to football . I’ve been a fan since 1977 . Nothing beats what we got versus what was hyped when Jerry reached and grabbed WR “Hands of Stone” Roy Williams. Holy crap what an absolutely terrible player . Cowboys went out on a limb in trade and cash for a WR that literally could not catch the ball. Once he signed with Cowboys he could barley catch , it was insane .
Cowboys had to give up their first, third, and sixth round picks of the 2009 Draft and he never reached 40 catches or even surpass 600 yards. He was pure trash .

One of the saddest plays in Cowboys history for sure. The other has to be either the Ice Bowl ending or John Mackey TD SB5.

He was actually an excellent place kicker but had a serious off the field issue. I think the OP is looking for who was the most hopeless as a player.
He 2nd all-time in points scored for the Cowboys.
1. Emmitt Smith___936
2. Rafael Septien__874

He was a great kicker very reliable! Clearly one of the top place kickers the Cowboys ever had.

Four seasons with the Cowboys- 64 regular season games played, 7 starts.
48 targets, 30 catches, 333 yards, 11.1 yds/rec, 7 TDs.
No catches in three playoff games.

I’m a “young fan”, haven’t seen much, but first one comes to my mind is Felix Jones, he had flashes but it was very bad for a first round. Also, Taco, my God he was baaad.
