I think this is the year Cooper Rush will cash in and get a fat contract during the offseason. He’s done enough and there will be a team who will offer him 15-20 million a year to see if he can put them over the hump. He’s beyond earned it and I think congratulations are in order.

So, which team signs him ladies and gents?
A retired Kapernick is still better than “Mr 2112 Limelight”.

Cooper Rush, like Dak Prescott, is solid against no pressure defenses.
His best bet is to wait till a team loses their starter next summer/fall and then cash in. He might get 10 mil.
Don’t compare Daks ability to avoid the rush to CRush.

He might have trouble signing for the league minimum after today.

At most a playoff team or borderline playoff team with a solid running game and defense, might offer Rush something to be their backup. If they feel like he could manage the game just enough to keep their team afloat in the scenario of their starter getting injured for a few games. Since we have seen multiple times how Rush needs a defense who can play almost shut down football in order to win the majority of games in which he starts.

Rush is a backup who can do enough to win games if the running game and defense is going strong. He's not the type of QB who can lead a team for more than a handful of games if the starting QB were to suffer an injury that kept him out for months or the rest of the season. He won't get any offers to be a starter because NFL GMS know it's unrealistic to expect their defense to have to hold opposing offenses to under 20 points over the course of 17 games in today's NFL.

He might get an offer to be a team's back up. But he didn't get any offers before this season when many credited from for going 4-1.

I am sorry. I thought you said coop wasn't a starter. My apologies. I must have mistaken you for someone else.

As far as 'semantics"...I believe words matter. And accountability for them.

I also believe that 'splitting hairs" is counterproductive.

"whoever" said Cooper is NOT a starter...is NOT splitting hairs. It...is a lie.
Cooper is not a starter. He is a backup who is starting at present due to the starter being injured.

This is simple stuff, dude.
