Who would you target if they move up from 58 to 44?

I was looking at the trade chart last night, the Cowboys can get as high as pick #44 if they trade their 3rd, pick #90. Giving up 129 (4th), will get up to pick #54. Who would you target at pick #44?

I mean a lot would depend on what you did at 26. If you take Kincaid or Mayer there, then you have no use for a guy like Washington (who may or may not be there) or LaPorta. But if you take an OL at 26, then guys like Avila might be a non starter as well and then maybe you look at some edge guys that should be there like Foskey or even WR with Mingo.

It’s basically going to be the guys I thought were options at 26 that fell.

Whatever top 30 ish money position falls.

Im not trading up for a G, TE, 2 down DT etc…

Aren't we talking about trading UP in the second, surely you don't mind an Avila, Torrence or Washington.
Yea, I’m not trading up in the 2nd for a low value position. Not 12 slots anyway.

Especially considering we’re giving up a top 100 selection where you could use that pick to get a starting caliber player at G or TE.

?? The problem with that is you're disregarding those positions you don't value....the situation where we trade up in the 2nd, is because there's someone (G or TE) that we're extremely high on.
In effect, if there's a G or TE we really like we have to go a round early....similar to Sam last year.

I’m not disregarding them I’m going to let the draft come to me and value my 3rd round selection.

We didn’t move up for Sam and he also plays a high dollar position.

Actually.........what would cost to trade out the 1st with let's say Texans, Rams or Raiders? I'm reading more and more that Hooker isn't getting out of the 1st. Rams, Raiders and maybe Texans may want to trade back into the 1st ahead of the Saints at 29.

I think if you either have a 1st rd or high 2nd rd graded player you make such a move. Kind of like DLaw or a Sean Lee.

Say we take Forbes. Sanders, Hyatt, Torrence/Avilia are still available?
Ok - 1st off I’m pumped about Forbes.

But like I said earlier man I’d be very hard pressed to give up my 3rd. I’d probably move up a few slots for Sanders (gives you pass rush) or Hyatt…not a G.
