Who would you target if they move up from 58 to 44?

I hope it is him too. With those natural instincts and his athleticism, his ceiling is sky-high. And frankly, I think his floor is high too.

He’d be a really good pick that would play this year and probably start next year.

Can you imagine him picking up tips this season from Gilmore with his born ability?
It would be a hell of a pick, but think Mayer is the favorite right now. When you see multiple insiders mocking him to the Cowboys, they were told something by a source inside the building. Mayer is a terrific prospect, but Forbes potentially could be far better.

I really hope Mayer and Bijan are off the board when we pick.

Forbes is my top target, but Mayer/Bijian would be great impact day 1 starters at need positions. If we got any of the three at 26, we all should be very happy.

We’ve just been there done that with the elite RB in the first…and Zeke was better.

I’d be ok with Mayer, just very meh. His athletic profile / size isn’t ever goijg to give us elite TE play so what’s the point if you can get a rock solid one in the mid rounds?

I’m with you on Forbes, but would add McDonald and whatever top WR falls as my top 3 assuming an OT doesn’t fall.

I was looking at the trade chart last night, the Cowboys can get as high as pick #44 if they trade their 3rd, pick #90. Giving up 129 (4th), will get up to pick #54. Who would you target at pick #44?
You gotta say who was the first pick. That matters more than anything. Gotta get a guard with one of the first two picks. So if we didnt take a guard with 1 than I would take Avila.

If we took a guard with the first pick then I might go TE if one of the top 2 guys are left. Not a Washington fan.

Zeke was not better than Bijon. But I do agree we have done that.

Mayer I would LOVE at 26. And I disagree. He can definitely be an elite TE.

I mean a lot would depend on what you did at 26. If you take Kincaid or Mayer there, then you have no use for a guy like Washington (who may or may not be there) or LaPorta. But if you take an OL at 26, then guys like Avila might be a non starter as well and then maybe you look at some edge guys that should be there like Foskey or even WR with Mingo.
I like Laporta better than Washington.

Zeke was 100% better than Bijan. Zeke absolutely dominated the best competition he faced and was elite as the stage got bigger. He was also one of the best pass pro RBs in football as a rookie.

Bijan had like 2 yards per garry against Bama.

Zeke was a blue chipper. Bijan is a 1st round RB. Huge difference.

Bijon is Zeke with top end speed and the ability to make people miss. Zeke was a blue chipper but was already half used up and benefited from the best Oline in the game his rookie year.

Bijon is a better back. Has it all. Zeke needs holes and cant take it all the way. Run into people not around people.

I can see that. Zeke never had the top end speed or that great ability to make people miss. He was a bowling ball type. Great all around back for a few years, but he needed great blocking to get his yards. Wasnt a big play guy.

Can we at least agree that Bijon has better speed and the ability to make people miss?

Zeke had more yards against Bama on 1 run than Bijan did the entire game.

So no, you’re wrong about the speed.

So your analysis is based on one game? Interesting technique.

Well if you cant even admit that then you cant admit anything. You must be a Zeke apologist. Can you admit that Pollard is faster than zeke?

Me either, not using a 1st rd pick on a blocking TE

Mayer is a much better player than many here think, he catches everything, is the best blocker in the class. I rather him or Kincaid over any of these receivers.

Forbes, McDonald both would be great picks, but I really feel they want to upgrade the offense as the Defense was pretty much brought all back
