BARBIE???? It's funny you come out the dark now.
Naw, smilies aside, Crayton speaks his mind publicly (sometimes too much). Plus, he's a TO supporter.DWhite Fan;2678070 said:Patrick Crayton strikes again!

If your sig proves true...tyke1doe;2678683 said:I agree. At this point, either be honest or shut up. T.O. is no longer a Cowboy. Why continue to take potshots at him. You don't have to worry about chemistry, unless, of course, you're concerned you might not be invited to those Super Mega Parties he likes to sponsor.
Idgit;2678843 said:Judging from interviews, and from KB's blog, here are very few players on this team articulate enough to have written even that quote. And what anonymous source is going to correspond via an email whose source can be so easily verified?

Show me.

Are you saying that the source is anonymous to the writer?
Or are you saying that if someone sent something from an email, it's easy to trace and verify who sent it?
What the heck does a quote from a football player actually sound like?Idgit;2678970 said:Well, first of all, that quote doesn't sound like it came from a football player.
Of course you do, why is it any different than talking directly to someone? The point is you give these quotes assuming the reporter is not going to give your identity whether there is a "paper trail" or not. Very bad business for the reporter to reveal his source because you certainly are never going to talk to him again,Secondly, If you're going to say something to a blogger off the record, you don't do it via email where the record of what you said and what account it came from can be made public and traced back to you.
And they called Owens the "cancer"... if this gains any traction, ESPN will feed off of it 'til draft day.dgr81;2678329 said:i wonder if barbie will be man enough to come out publically and say it wasn't him...probably not.

Newsflash, not all of these guys ignored class in college. there is no way you are going to be able to judge what came from a "football player" and what didn't. How can you even begin to try?

I find it hysterical that everyone has jumped on the media or automatically assumed it was Carpenter or some other unpopular bench player. Hell these quotes could have come from Witten or Davis or Ware or anyone.
And again, every media outlet has a huge legal department that frowns on completely making crap up. Someone said this, and whether they have balls or not for remaining anonymous, it adds more fuel to the fire that TO was indeed a PITA at times. More than he should have been.
What was so generally articulate in that quote? Or are you insinuating that most football players communicate like "Me hungry, want food?"Idgit;2679012 said:Seriously? I'm not going to debate with you whether or not football players are generally articulate. They're not. That's not to say that nobody on the team is capable of writing the quote, but it is to say that many of them aren't.
It's from a blog, for one. And giving an anonymous quote in writing is hugely different from giving it face to face, or even on a phone. For one, it's a lot less secure.
I don't care a whit about the quote, one way or another. And I'm not a pro-TO guy. I just don't think the quote is believable, and I don't trust Tom Curran's blogspot to necessarily have gotten anything right.
