Naw, smilies aside, Crayton speaks his mind publicly (sometimes too much). Plus, he's a TO supporter.

PROCTOR.

Or one of the other bench sitters. Colombo would come right out and say it to everyone. He is that kind of guy.

The players that talk about egos are the one's that ride the pine and suck or feel threatened and are jealous. They are the weak ones and that is why they hide behind anonymous sources.

I agree. At this point, either be honest or shut up. T.O. is no longer a Cowboy. Why continue to take potshots at him. You don't have to worry about chemistry, unless, of course, you're concerned you might not be invited to those Super Mega Parties he likes to sponsor. ;)
If your sig proves true...

...well, I probably shouldn't say it out in the open.

Judging from interviews, and from KB's blog, here are very few players on this team articulate enough to have written even that quote. And what anonymous source is going to correspond via an email whose source can be so easily verified?

I'm calling bs.

I don't understand what you're questioning?

Are you saying that the source is anonymous to the writer?
Or are you saying that if someone sent something from an email, it's easy to trace and verify who sent it?

Your boy Romo better get his act together otherwise in a few years you can post the same thing about him.

Show me.

You are a joke. You are a "romosapien" but you call him '
your boy' when talking to fellow posters. Dont let your butthurt about Team Cancer being gone affect your abilities to judge players.

Well, first of all, that quote doesn't sound like it came from a football player. Secondly, If you're going to say something to a blogger off the record, you don't do it via email where the record of what you said and what account it came from can be made public and traced back to you.

What the heck does a quote from a football player actually sound like?

Newsflash, not all of these guys ignored class in college. there is no way you are going to be able to judge what came from a "football player" and what didn't. How can you even begin to try?

Of course you do, why is it any different than talking directly to someone? The point is you give these quotes assuming the reporter is not going to give your identity whether there is a "paper trail" or not. Very bad business for the reporter to reveal his source because you certainly are never going to talk to him again,

I find it hysterical that everyone has jumped on the media or automatically assumed it was Carpenter or some other unpopular bench player. Hell these quotes could have come from Witten or Davis or Ware or anyone.

And again, every media outlet has a huge legal department that frowns on completely making crap up. Someone said this, and whether they have balls or not for remaining anonymous, it adds more fuel to the fire that TO was indeed a PITA at times. More than he should have been.

And they called Owens the "cancer"... if this gains any traction, ESPN will feed off of it 'til draft day.

They'll start asking Bills players what they think about the situation in Dallas... and just like that, while doing nothing, Owens will get crapped on by the media.

Seriously? I'm not going to debate with you whether or not football players are generally articulate. They're not.

That's not to say that nobody on the team is capable of writing the quote, but it is to say that many of them aren't.

It's from a blog, for one. And giving an anonymous quote in writing is hugely different from giving it face to face, or even on a phone. For one, it's a lot less secure.

I don't care a whit about the quote, one way or another. And I'm not a pro-TO guy. I just don't think the quote is believable, and I don't trust Tom Curran's blogspot to necessarily have gotten anything right.

What was so generally articulate in that quote? Or are you insinuating that most football players communicate like "Me hungry, want food?"

Blog or not, written or not, contrary to popular opinion around here reporters can't just make something up and print it. Someone had to give him this quote or the lawyers wouldn't let it happen.

I know that is a hugely unpopular fact, but you can't just say "I think it would be awesome if a player said Wade wears pink socks" and then print it in your blog. It doesn't work that way.

Now the guy you are quoting may be completely wrong, biased or ignorant, and that's all subject to speculation. But you just can't print in the media that a player told you something when in reality you made it up out of thin air. I absolutely cannot comprehend why so many people on this board think that you can.

this kind of proves that our locker room still has issues, at least for now.

Anyone who isn't man enough to attach their name to a quote about a teammmate (or especially a FORMER teammate) should keep their damn mouth SHUT.

we need some MEN back in the Cowboys locker room.

Now that TO is a Bill, hopefully all of our players will just shut up about everything.

Doesnt matter anymore, TO is gone and we dont even play the Bills in 2009 or 2010 and by 2011 TO will probably be retired.

Odds are we will never have to play a down agaisnt TO.
