Who's Faster Ware or Urlacher?

He ran a 4.4.

He posted the fastest 40 by a middle linebacker I have heard of and outran most of the DBs.

He is faster than Roy Williams and Patrick Watkins.

He is very similar to Darren Woodson and thus is also extremely good.

He tried to stay with Bush.....

No kidding. It was a joke.
Your post wasn't even available to me when I posted. I was referring to the guy that thought Ware was only a 4.65 guy.

well, that would take a 4.2.....

no one on our d could stay with Bush and we have terence newman....

but if ware or urlacher do get ahold of bush he'll need new pants because he will soil his old ones.

Only person that could catch Reggie Bush from Behind would be Ted Ginn...

Whether or not he could tackle him that would be a different story.

Dont be surprised if Ted Ginn plays corner for some team instead of WR. His route running needs some work, but he has something almost all DB's lack..

True Recovery Speed or "Catch Up" speed. Was Parade All American at DB and went to OSU as a DB.. Tressell couldnt resist using that speed on his Offense though...

I think he's gonna be hidden away on special teams like Devin Hester.

Speed matters, but not ultimately. I think quickness and your 10 yard burst is probably more important. I don't know how fast Bush is, but I know he's quick, extremely quick.

Urlacher ran a 4.59 at the 2000 Combine --

Ware's times were reported anywhere from 4.56 (Gil Brandt said 4.56 and 4.57) to 4.65 --

Here's one source that has Urlacher at 4.59 and Ware at 4.56 --

So Urlacher might be faster, but he might not be, either.

Ted Ginn, didnt the safety from Notre Dame Zbikowski run him down from behind two seasons ago? i think so.

Obviously Urlacher's not gonna catch Bush but on his way to chasing him he blew by the other Bears, which impressed me a ton.

does it matter?

there were tons of guys faster at RB and WR than Emmitt, Irvin and Rice...but those 3 guys are all-timers

David

Exactly...Speed is highly overrated as the determining factor of whether you are going to be good or great or not.

urlacher and ware are both fast and bad to the bone.

if we had urlacher in the middle..............it would be a massacre every sunday.

carpenter
urlacher
ware

in the 4-3 would be so good it's scary.
