Who's more valueable to the team. Dez or DeMarco?

When healthy, Murray. Nothing is more important to a QB like Romo than a good passing game.

At this moment? DeMarco Murray. If-and-until Tony Romo's consistency returns, receiving proficiency will suffer by default. In other words, Dez Bryant's dominance as a receiver hinges primarily on Romo getting him the ball. Currently, Murray is taking full advantage of an upgraded offensive line that is exceling at run blocking. Thus far, the only negative for Murray in two games this season has been the fumbles. Subtract the fumbles and I think the distinction between Murray and Bryant at this stage would be even more prominent.

Good question, but I'd go with DM. Dez is physically the more gifted of the two but nothing in football trumps a dominant run game other than a dominant defense.

Right now Murray is because of what is providing Romo with. However Dez is the guy who changes how teams play defense. At some point teams will start game planning to stop the run which will open things up for Dez. It's a good problem to have.

It really depends on which team we play. If we play a team strong against the run, then Dez is more valuable. If we play a team weak against the run, then DeMarco is more valuable.

Beyond that, comparing players from different positions directly in this case is not an accurate comparison. The real comparison is .. Romo + Dez .. vs .. Murray + Offensive Line. Meaning, if Romo does poorly, it makes Dez less valuable and if the offensive line plays poorly, it makes Murray less valuable.

DezMarco

Emmitt or Irvin?

DezMaroc... I like that. I might name my first son "DezMarco"

But to answer the question I'd go with Dez. Not to take away anything from Murray, but that O-line sure is making his job a lot easier. They were even making Dunbar and Randle look like starting quality RBs with the limited carries they got. And I'm not gonna go into why Dez is so valuable, it's kind of self explanatory. But I guess the real question should be: Who's more valuable to the team, the O-line or Dez? ... and the answer to that is the O-line.

Romo.

Romo off = humiliating loss. Romo under control and managed = solid victory.

Murrary. A good running game is much more important than a superstar WR.

If Murrary is healthy, Romo doesn't have to force passes which in turn, doesn't lead to as many turnovers.
