Newman without question. I'll never forget watching him run Randy Moss down from behind with ease.

Are you people kidding me? Terrell Owens can run faster than a cheetah, faster than the fastest car, faster than a jet! He is invincible!

At least that's what his supporters seem to think.

Good thing I ain't one of them. :lmao2:

I think T.O. could probably burn Newman..

TO isn't a "Speed" reciever. He's got some speed, but that's not his biggest strength.

TO wouldn't even finish 5th on the team in a 40 yard dash.

is Tyson Thompson still on the roster?

I would say it would be a coin toss between him and T-New.

Newman, Glenn, some of the youngsters.

I don't care what it is, a race, football speed or a hot dog eating contest, Newman is faster than TO anyday.

Pat Watkins.

And, I've heard that he's tall.

Not a bad point, Watkins is suppose to be pretty fast... but I'm gonna go with the 2 time Big 12 100 Meter Dash champion Terrence Newman.

Newman, Thompson, Aaron Glenn, TO have all posted sub 4.3 times.

Newman is the fastest on paper.

Terry Glenn might be the hardest to run with because of his quickness.

TO is the hardest to deal with overall because he moves so well with real power. He can toss you then run his 4.3 while you are trying to get your balance back. There are plenty of internet articles about his raw speed.

Tyson Thompson might be a bit too fast as a RB. He can flat burn but he doesn't always see the hole and explode. He explodes then runs into the holes. Thats why he is really only useful on sweeps right now. His feet are faster than his eyes.

Aaron Glenn is obviously not at his fastest this late in his career but as a younger player he was extremely fast and covered the other team's fastest WRs one on one with ease. He is clearly not as fast nowadays as Santana Moss.

All 4 of those guys were track stars. Thompson was the fastest kid in Texas, Newman in Kansas.

Owens has continued to work on improving his speed...I believe he is the fastest on the team.

The fact that Randall Williams was called the fastest player on Dallas teams for years should show everyone how worthless the distinction is. Who cares?

Speed does matter. Players respect it. They do race each other quite often.

Randel Williams problem is that he is simply not a football player.
He was a track kid from NYC.

Had he been raised in Texas he's be a Pro Bowler right now:)~

Again.

What did Williams' distinction get him?

A job on special teams.

I don't care how many teammates you beat in a sprint.

Good players make plays. They run the correct routes. They make the right decisions. Anyone with a pair of cleats can run fast. The key is finding those that can do both. And most of the time, those that own the speed records are deficient in many other parts of their game.

I guess this distinction means something in terms of locker room bragging rights, but in the general scheme of things, it is relatively useless.
