I said deserved over some of the guys who made it from our team.
He played a fraction of the snaps the others played. You may think that's deserving -- i.e., only being a partial contributor -- but we'll have to disagree there.

So Roy is one. Who are the other three?
I would take Hamlin over Roy. And my post stated that I can't think of five others I'd prefer.

I'd say the most underrated is Roy Williams. Everyone wants the guy out to pasture (including myself), but he simply is not as bad as many would have you believe.

Right now, I'd say the most overrated might be Felix Jones. Most are taking the position he is a definite upgrade over Julius and he has not played ONE down yet..... IMO/FWIW.

Let me ask this -- if you were told at the end of the season that 5 defensive starters would make the pro bowl, would you have been shocked if James was among them? Obviously two of the picks are no-brainers but among the three others, would it have shocked you to see James there?

Let's say you felt the 5 who went were our best 5 -- would James as a 6th surprise you?

James wouldn't have even crossed my mind. He might be the 6th, but that's a distant 6th.

He's great at what he does do, he's just limited in what he can do.

I think a better way to say that is that the staff is putting him in situations that play to his strength. Every player on this team should be so lucky.

In fact, there's a guy on offense who some would argue made the probowl as a part-time player....

Barber wasn't limited to his role solely because he was terrible outside of that role. But I do think people that criticized his selection have a valid argument.

Greg Ellis is underated quite a bit, Tony Romo is sometimes underated, Henry is underated, Bradie James can be underatde at times. Roy Williams is overated, also I think that Marion the Barbarian can get overated.

i have been saying it for a year +, Miles Austin is the most underated player on the team. Seems like a lot of people are starting to see his potential now.

Comment about Romo being overrated made me laugh. Saying you liked to see him w/o TO & Witten is same thing we heard back in the 90s from Cowboy haters. According to them Aikman wasn't that good; it was either Emmitt & Irvin who made Aikman look good, or the OL made Aikman look good, or Irvin & Jay made Aikman look good. How good it is Cowboys QBs who allegedly aren't that good because they've got great players but supposedly other QBs aren't held to the same standards. If we take away the Steelers 2 top WRs & their RBs, how good would Bradshaw have been? Not very good particularly w/o that great defense. So throw Bradshaw out of the HOF. Heck, Elway went to 3 SBs but looked awful in them; he didn't win SBs until Davis was the RB & and 2 great years; so, clearly Elway couldn't win w/o Davis so he's not a good QB either. BTW: Commanders fans were the biggest supporters of the claim that Aikman wasn't that good, it was all those other great players on the team. Nuts to all of them.
