Why are Eagles fans so Crazy?

I remember watching a show called Parking Wars - Philadelphia or something like that. Seems like there were many unhappy people made worse by the idiotic parking rules/laws. I heard parking in Philadelphia is a bear. Parking tickets are expensive and they like to tow. Maybe the people of Philadelphia put up with a lot of bullcrap (parking/traffic/taxes etc.) in their daily lives and sports allows them to relieve their stress. I heard there are also a lot of dumps/places you don't want to accidentally end up at.

Sorry man, i was there. Its bad. I had a football thrown at my back. I wasnt even talking, just walking. I left the game at halftime because I thought I was going to get stabbed. One of the guys i went with, also a cowboys fan, had his wifes cowboys necklace ripped off of her neck and thrown at her. I witnessed a child get a beer dumped on him lol. Is that normal behaviour?

Lucky for you it was Mark Sanchez throwing that ball so he missed.

The Cowboys are Marsha Brady. They've lived their life as Jan. "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!".

If they actually won something you'd see much less scumbaggery.

Passionate is not strong enough a word for them - not even close.

Throwing snowballs at Santa, urinating on the head of opposing fans, even stealing artificial legs from Vietnam Vets.

I was halfway thinking the National Guard would have to be called into Philadelphia after the game Sunday. And I wonder if NJ Gov. Chris Christie will receive death threats for being aired doing a high five with Jerry Jones. Again, semi-serious - are they running more public service announcements for people that are suicidal?

What is it - WHAT? Honestly think it crosses the line from fandom to mental disorder.

I want to dedicate this video to all the Eagles fans - :star:Blue Christmas :star:

I think you are underestimating the power of alcohol.

Scum of the sports universe.

Perhaps this post is for a different thread but aside from all their "low class" fans and every team has them along with their stories.
I have to admit, I wish the DC would have a fight song and/or a marching band. Or some other active/harmless rituals that are sacred to the Cowboy's fans . Call me old fashion, but I think it brings camaraderie and unification to the fans. They get collectively and emotionally involved in the fandom process instead of sitting like zombies, on their cell phones, taking selfies, ordering others to sit down so they can veg in front of a gigantic TV screen, trying to look the part of a "fan" while cage dancers, a couple of fake "cowboys" with giant flags and our famous cheerleaders do the work. I like/appreciate the fanatical guy/gal who paints up and lives and dies by every play. Just me.

Perfect description. I heard today, they hate the Cowboys more than they love the Eagles. How much sense does that make? They had Eagles fans that confirmed it.

The Texans fans feel the same way and admit freely.

However, at least with the Texans, there are no beatings, urine, vomit, bodily injury, batteries, battered santas etc to contend with... at least at this point.

Wow. Glad you guys are okay!

except in football, I am a fan of the other 3 philly teams....we are all cantankerous, miserable SOB's because the city can NEVER win a championship....that all changed in 2008 with my beloved Phillies, but the rest of them can't win anything....the fans of philly are so BITTER that the only thing they can do to prop themselves up is to knock others down

I've lived 30 mins away from the eagles stadium my entire life...

Yes, yes it is. Not saying it's right, but it's an unfortunate truth. You go to any nfl stadium with a big fan base and add in the fact that they are losing to their bitter rivals and it's going to get ugly. It's just an unfortunate part if the culture

I've been to hundreds of sporting events and can confidently say that no, that isn't true of any stadium. Some razzing, some jabs, sure. But I've never seen an unprovoked act of aggression at an NFL game.

Philly fans are a special breed of scum.

I can only imagine how hard it is to be a Dallas fan in the Philly area.

Its the only stadium in the league that has a jail house in it.
If I was the commish,I would seriously entertain forcing that franchise to relocate to another city.

The Eagles "passion" is one that's foolishly dictated by their thug mentality. Apparently, they're too stupid to see the harm in giving themselves and their "city of brotherly love" a despicable image. They routinely supply living proof of the saying that "ignorance is bliss."

This. Mafioso, Italian goon culture.

An empty SB trophy case would drive any fanbase crazy.
