Why are people bashing Romo for that loss?

This board is crazy....i see people saying get rid of romo and oh he played terrible...and I know he had those 2 horrible interceptions in the first half but we were only down by 2 going in to half....Romo then in the 4th quarter brought us back with a touchdown...seconds later OUR DEFENSE(who should get the bashing) gives up a 70 yard run...Romo gets back on the field and throws another touchdown....and the defense still cant hold the ravens giving up another big touchdown....for people to be bashing romo is dumb!! we would be nowhere without this guy!!!!

I would really like to know the gameplan for this game because I did not see a plan in the first half at all.

1 thing I do know is that Romo is a rythm passer and you can't do what we did Saturday night and expect him to have a good game.

I agree. I am seeing the game and our OL is completely overwhelmed by Bal DL all game long, Romo is getting 2-3 secs, but he continously keeps staring way down the field. There are no check downs? no intermediate routes to throw to? (they started doing this in desparation for the last 2 drives). Is that on Romo or JG?

Because he played skeered for 3 and a half quarters. He made plays but it was too little too late. How about playing inspired football for 4 full quarters? What a novel idea!

I'd like to see the gameplan as well. Even though I'm not a professional coach, I largely find it very difficult to believe that I could not have made better playcalls that that.

Offensive Coordinator has to play into the strengths of his QB. If Romo is throwing deep balls and they're sailing on him, throw check-down and short-route stuff, drags, slants, get him confident before going down-field. Especially in a game against a defense like the Baltimore Ravens.

But again, what do I know, I just sit at home and watch on TV.

Oh and one more thing -- you cannot throw the pass to setup the run. If you never throw the quick slant, nobody will ever be fooled by your playaction quick-slant draw play.

Whether or not he was THE cause of the loss, he played lousy. Nothing wrong with saying someone played lousy if they played lousy.

How about giving him some time to throw and a running game?.

How about lighting a fire under his backside and getting him to make some plays earlier in the game?

Please don't tell me that the blocking was any better on his late scoring drives.

Exactly! He didn't help his defense out at all he left them on the field the entire 1st half.

Choice had a pretty good game in terms of running. On alot of plays he (Romo) had plenty of time, in fact his worst plays of the nigth came when there was little to no pressure on him.

We get a ton of pressure on other teams QB's too, but we dont see them making those painfully dumb throws that we see Romo do on almost a week to week basis.

I think I know what Romos problem is and I am dead serious on this.

He is not having fun anymore. I don't know if it is the situation with TO orwhat but he does not look like it is fun for him like last year.

I'm bashing Romo, but nowhere did I ever hint about getting rid of him. He IS one of the best QBs in the league. Easily top 5 most prolific passers in the league. There is no question in my mind, that part of the offenses ineptitude is his fault. Of course, I think TO, Garrett, and Proctor are part of the issue too.

It wasn't just the 2 horrible INTs... it was the fact that he was missing wide open receivers for 3 1/2 quarters - then made a horrible decision when he hesitated to run on what would would've been an easy 3rd down conversion.

Romo was dreadful for 3 quarters.

This defense has been playing great... but they're not the Raven Super Bowl D of a few years ago.

When the offense continuously puts them in back to the wall situation... they're eventually going to crack.

Romo has GOT to play better. Period.

Tony Romo is nothing more then a poor man's Danny White. And at least Danny won some playoff games playoff games which is more then Romo ever will.

Two dumb picks are two dumb picks....regardless of when they happen or whether or not you perceive them to have any impact on the game.

If he doesn't throw that second interception there is good reason to believe the team would have scored again, instead the pick leads to a Ravens field goal, a six point swing and momentum on there side.

He missed a wide open Miles Austin for a sure td in the third. I mean my mother could have made that pass and she has never thrown a football in her life. That is another six points missed.

You also have to keep in mind the defense is wearing down late in games because the offense cannot move the ball early on in games. Not all of this falls on the QB....but the QB is the supposed leader of the offense...so everything comes back to him.

This doesn't mean I don't want Romo QB'ing this team, I do...he just needs to be smarter with the football and make the throws when they are there to be made.

the same thing i posted elsewhere- the qb gets too much credit for the wins, and too much criticism for the losses. until romo wins a playoff game, he will be criticised, comes with the job.

Romo was freakin' terrible for 3 and a half quarters. He was a big part of the loss last night. He did show up the last 6 minutes. If he played like that for the first 3 quarters we win going away.

Romo is always thinking about the homerun play. That's his main weakness (in addition to fumbling far too much). He doesn't realize that an incomplete pass or a 3 yard gain is sometimes a very good thing. He's too consumed with the big play.
