Why are players on other teams so good compared to ours?

There are some good quarterbacks at the top of the draft this year it's time to take the plunge and get a real one.
By the time you've got to pay him real money Dak's ludicrous salary will finally be off the books.
We've been trying to make chicken salad out of chicken stuff for 25 years

All of these crazy trade ideas just has me shaking my head. Why is it that every player that is disgruntled does everyone think is a perfect fit for us?

Keeping in mind that the salary cap absolutely puts limits on what you can do, what are we missing right now on defense? Would I like to have a Warren Sapp in the middle of our D line? Sure, but that is gonna cost you big time. Would I like to have an alpha male 1 receiver like Tyreke Hill? Sure.

How good are the dolphins? Do you honestly think you can judge our receiving corps right now? After 6 games played and 5 with cooper rush? Any WR that would be a 1 or 2 for us is gonna cost either serious draft picks or 15 million plus per year. From what I have seen from Noah Brown, I am absolutely ecstatic for him to be our number 3. That guy catches EVERYTHING thrown his way. Im good with him AND HIS SALARY. Oline? You know we just signed Peters, right? THey arent adding an olineman... period.

Defense???? Are you serious? Our line is young and tenacious. Im good there. Linebackers? Arent we getting a rookie that they have serious high hopes back right now? He was there last week, but just getting his feet wet. Any linebacker that could make an impact aint on no trading block.

We are good IMo... we just need our 160 million dolar QB to come back and be an actual playmaker and not a bus driver. If the Eagles are the "Best," team in the NFC, Id say we are going to the SB.

Between this site and the old one, Ive been on these boards for probably 15 years. I have never said we were going to the SB, but Id say this team is as good as any in the NFC. Stay put.
I agree with you but if we can get a young 1 tech on the defensive that would change everything. Brown from Carolina would give us the best defense in the NFL. I would give Carolina a first and a 3rd for him.

I think fans expectations are unrealistic and there’s a grass is greener on the other side mentality.

If you watch a lot of football and other teams, you should know that every QB misses throws, WRs drop balls, defenses give up plays, great rushers have games without sacks, good DBs get beat etc…

On here 1 bad game means the player or team is terrible and the sky is falling. It’s wild.

I would love to get DJ Moore only because I came away so impressed with that dude when we played Carolina last year. He’s a strong thick dude that gets YAC. Having said that, they would want a 1st and that’s our money round in the draft.

Grass is always greener on the other side?
.
One things for sure, there is no GM who would want Dak Prescott for $40,000,000.00 per year.
.
I don't even think NYG would trade for Dak for Daniel straight up, or even if the cowboys sweetened the offer.

Carolina, Tennessee, Seattle, Cleveland are teams that would probably take Dak in trade.

40 mill is sitting at the bottom of going rates, You think any starting QB who hit FA will be looking at 40 mill? $40 mill is not even a starting point
The bottom? No, not close to the bottom.

for upcoming FA yes it is. No QB is going to be looking under 40 mill, hell Wilson and Murray both look like crap are getting 49 and 46 mill respectively.
No, it's not. Bottom Qbs are getting in the 25 mil range. You're thinking mid.

Yes QB are getting that as they hit FA, "key word hitting FA" they are not asking for 25 mill. Those sitting at less have yet to hit FA or they are much older QB where teams will not invest in longer contract like a Matt Ryan

Always need to make it about Dak with some nutty comment.
Derail the threads.

I mean really.........how dumb are some of these trolls? Its like they cant see the writing on the wall. This team is 4-2 with Cooper Rush leading the way with one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Cowboys finally have a top 5 defense to pair with Dak and our offense. With Dak coming back its like they have no clue how good this team will be. Maybe its panic or maybe its just pure football stupidity.

What do you think? Panic or stupidity?

You're right, $40MM isn't going to stop someone from acquiring a QB. The bad news is Daks contract is backloaded so the cap hit next year is $49MM, then 52MM in 2024. Those numbers could be trade stoppers, however with just two years left on his deal some time may be able to wiggle around that if they are able to get him to agree to an extension.
