Thanks. It sucks not being able to do anything right now with my injury. It's making my depression worse. Can't sleep, can't excersize, bored, can't clean my crib, bored,.... Blah blah blah
Sad trombone* wah-wah-wah-wah
It's not sad trombone. It's very real. My heartfelt thoughts are with you, coming from someone that has gone through a lot of mental (and physical) adversity.

You'll get through this, Miley. I can tell you're strong willed :)

I'll join in with Trouty. There is the 'tele' and the internet, and old school books. I've taken to reading books again, and enjoying them quite a bit.

But point is, we're in here with you...if there are doubts, we can handle those...and share the joys as well.

Seriously. If you know anyone even thinking about going there, stop them. Terrible, terrible, school. Denton was cool as hell, though.
Denton was legit. My buddies graduated there and one rushed a fraternity. I gave the "at Community College for now but coming next semester" speech a lot and as a potential rush candidate my drinks were always paid for. Silly Mean Green!

Alright, here we are. I figure this is the right forum because it's the primary reason why I'm Cowboys fan.

I openly admit I despise Jerry Jones, don't like every player and am quite critical of some of the things the Cowboys do. I'm also my own biggest critic. I'm critical because I care. For all the homers out there, if you don't like it, too bad. After following them for 30 years, there's more than enough reasons to question many of their moves. I also admit I'm a pessimist by nature. Last year is the first season in awhile that gave me cautious optimism for this year. Again, with the history of this team, how can you blame me?

Anyways, in the end we all want what's best for the Cowboys but have many different opinions of how they get there. So to all of you who call me out, have at it :) Note the sweet shorts and Aikmans semi 80's mullet!

Like it Trouty!

Its not football related. The greatest and best sporting event l ever watched...personally..,was Dec 31. 1975... Red Army vrs Montreal Canadiens....l mean, what an historical and great sporting event. History.

I'm a cowboys fan because I'm addicted to drama. Who gets suspended next? How many games will they miss? What key position will we go thin at, relying on an injury-prone player to make through the entire season? Oooh I can hardly stand it!

My uncle was a Cowboys fan. When I was younger he would always give me hats, balls, jerseys and T-shirts of the Cowboys so I stuck with them. It was the first NFL team I knew. Unfortunately, it was 1996, I was nine years old so I never got to experience any of the glory days.

My dad was a big cowboys fan and I followed suit. He passed away little over year and few months. Now hopefully my son follows our passion and love for the cowboys. I have a tattoo of the last game my dad went to with me and coicendently it was the last home victory tony romo had as a cowboy.

Growing up in the 80's, the Cowboys were on TV in New York almost every Sunday. It's a hard fact for Cowboys haters to accept, but that's a big reason why there are so many Cowboys fans across the country and what created 'America's Team.' In fact, my friend's uncle was a huge Cowboys fan and was the first person I knew that had the Sunday Ticket. I remember him telling us that he can get any game on TV and my friend and I were a little suspicious as his uncle was a heavy drinker and we thought he may be hitting the sauce a little early. Anyway, he was right and eventually that led to a bunch of our friends heading over to his uncle's house every Sunday and we each had our own uniform we would bring to watch the game. Mine was Moose Johnston's.

My dad severely hated the Giants. When I asked why, he said that growing up the Giants were the only team on TV and they stunk and were always a boring team. I didn't quite understand that until I moved to Myrtle Beach and the local TV would only show the Carolina Panthers who have always been a dull team to me. That's when I started hating the Panthers.

My mother didn't care for football, but she always liked the Cowboys the best because of their uniform. Mom always loved a sharp dressed man and would always talk about how clean and impressive the uniforms stood out and how the Cowboys 'had their act together' while the other football teams uniforms looked like amateur hour. She was also a fan of Roger Staubach because...well, why wouldn't you be?

Also, growing up in NY I was born into being a Yankees fan. The Yankees under Steinbrenner demanded excellence. They only hang banners when they win the World Series. They don't hang banners for winning the pennant or winning the ALCS.

So, with the Cowboys constantly on my TV, my parents' influence and the Cowboys having a similar outlook in terms of expectations and demands to the Yankees, it was easy for me to identify them as my team.

My grandparents on my mom's side originally introduced me to watching the Cowboys back in early/mid 90s but really, it was my older brother who got me into them as a teenager and young adult. It was a good bond for us to have and I always enjoyed watching games and talking Cowboys with him. He's passed away now so being a Cowboys fan means even more to me since losing him. He died last October and a part of me wondered if he was somehow helping the Cowboys win all those games. A silly notion maybe... but maybe not.

I was too young to remember SB 6, so my earliest memories were of SB 10. Teams wearing the Bicentennial patches on their jerseys and the Cowboys changing one of the blue stripes on their helmet to red. I inherited my fandom. From my dad and my two older brothers. I remember Sears being the official store of the Cowboys, and getting new blue and silver foil Cowboys stickers from Texaco every year to put on our station wagon. I remember my dad removing the old stickers and applying the new ones so carefully, making sure they were parallel to each other on each big side window.
