Why aren't we moving on Rolando and Bruce?

But he's really not facing a 4 game ban. He's just a step closer to it. I know this is a pretty shallow thing for me to say, but this four game fine actually works in our favor since it will bring his price down. I honestly believe that McClain will be able to be resigned by us for a pretty low number. To me, he's the opposite of Carter in that IMO he's viewed as more valuable by the Cowboys than by other teams, whereas Carter will be viewed as more attractive by other teams who will give him a payday. His concussion problems are a concern, but think about McClain, after actual time in an offseason program (rather than walking in off the street), playing like the monster he was in early 2014. Only this time Sean Lee is next to him at the will. Tell me that's not intriguing.

The fine goes to the NFL, not to the team.

I apoligize if its been discussed already, but for the life of me i can't figure out why we aren't moving on these two. Any ideas?

I love Hitchens and Lee, but Lee is injury prone and McClain was huge for us last year. Same with Carter. I'd want these two back on my team without question.

If Carter plays like he did this year he should be the number one guy. I'm afraid Ro is like Lee, can't depend on either one when you need them most. Perhaps we can get Lee and Ro for an 8 game commitment.

Look at weeks 12 through 16.
Carter and Hitchens were both active in those games but Hitchens started all of them and Carter started Zero of them.

Who cares who started Carter still produced. Didn't start 4 games and still led the team in ints

Sign them all and play a 2-5

RoMc, Carter, Durant with Lee and Hitchens is pretty solid

I would like all 3 back, but somehow, I don't see it...I can see Durant and one of the other two, and then draft a LB in the mid rounds...as usual, the LB corps will swing depending on Lee's health

I would assume the answer is because Dallas wants to sign them to one year low risk deals, and the players think the open market may give them a little better than that. We shall see who is correct.

I don't know if I want to resign McClain. With his concussion issues at at the end of the season and the way he hits. Then he is facing a 4 game suspension next year and the investigation of his house fire. Just sounds like to much to want to throw money at.

Carter is going to take the best deal he can get. He might be to high for dallas.

He is not facing a suspension. It is a fine.

No, but some have started discussions on keeping their own. But, it is too early to worry about this.

I saw last night that The Cowboys and Cole Beasley are close to a new deal.

So it looks like they're about to get that one done.

I am really interested in what the market for Carter will be. I don't know that a team that studies his tape will come to the conclusion that he would be a great Free Agent unless it is a Tampa 2 team. That guy takes a crazy long time to adjust to new schemes. I think he would bust in his first year if he went to a new defensive scheme.

I think Dallas will get a deal done with Rolando. Carter I think will end up leaving. I think his play in the 2nd half of the season will lure some team to pay him a good size contract. I think Durant is more likely to sign in Dallas. I would love to keep all of them but I will be surprised if Dallas can do that.

Ro McClain was nearly as injury prone as Sean Lee the last half of the season, now he's a step closer to a suspension. Buyer beware. My guess on Bruce Carter is that he is one of the guys that Stephen Jones mentioned at the combine, that has notified the club he is testing FA. That's just a guess.

Right but 1 more failed drug test and it's a 4 game suspension.

Also the biggest thing we need to look at is the concussions. That stuff doesn't go away especially the way he plays and hits.

I woukd love to have him back but it's got to be at the right price.

They're both part time players. You don't know what guy will show up.
