Why aren't we talking about Crayton?

With all this TO talk, I think Crayton is slipping under the radar as far as what HE brings to the team..or is it such a given? I honestly think he's just as bad as TO regarding chemistry and attitude. Everytime I turn on Espn first take and Sportscenter his mug is right there blabbing about "togetherness". That interview he did was so embarrasing saying there is no locker room issues and the chemistry is fine, then his last statement is "we just maybe dont have the togetherness"..WHAAAATT???. I've never heard so much contradictory since Wade and good head coach were in the same sentence.

He's such a little rat and under TO's wing it's disgusting. He's TO's little spawn and does whatever he is told from him. I want to get rid of them both so fast, at least TO has some skill!!. Crayton talks so much game but does little to back it up. I'm so down for just getting rid of these type of players. Anyone with me!? give me a "hell yeah!!!":yourock:

A productive slot receiver with a big mouth.

He reminds me of Alvin Harper in that regard, he'd disappear if he went to another team and was asked to be their primary instead of complementary and situational wideout.

Crayton doesn't even come close to the level of an Alvin Harper. Harper took a slant around 70 yards to set up the end of the 49ers 80s dynasty while Crayton quits on routes that would potentially beat the Giants and avoid being #1 seed with a one and done.

Yes, why aren't we reflexively attacking Crayton again for no good reason? Haven't we seen him do an interview or anything lately that we found some way to take offense to? Stupid productive late round picks who run good routes and have good hands and don't say anything bad about their teammates but are friends with TO.

I have to admit, while reading Dan Reeve's interview from earlier this month and he talking about how players that care more about their personal stats than if the team wins or loses create problems for the team..........I thought first of TO and then of Crayton.

Honestly, those are the two guys I thought about instantly when reading Reeves statements.

TO is still a baller, but Crayton just sucks. So I think I would dump Crayton first and see if that shuts up TO before lowering the big boom.

What's the support for PC caring about his personal stats? I didn't hear him say 'boo' when Roy Williams was moved into his job. And Crayton doesn't suck.

God knows it won't either with those two on the team...how would you know it wont work? I always associate Crayton with Owens..they are like two little snickering buddies up to no good. Crayton bothers me more than Owens actually..ya thats right I said it!! I wonder what the locker room and team attitude would be like without those two cancers..hmmm I'm thinkin superbowl!

Didnt Crayton have a private meeting with Garrett during the season to talk about his lack of involvement in the offense???...........I consider that caring about personal stats, but maybe thats just me.

Crayton didnt say "boo" when Roy Williams was moved into his job because Crayton did jack as the #2 WR. Why do you think we had to trade a 1,3, and 6 to get another WR opposite TO if Crayton could handle the job???

Apparantly management doesnt think Crayton is starting material or else they would not have given up premium picks in a rare mid-season trade.

Take in account also that Crayton talks more crap than any WR in the freaking league and does jack on Sunday to back any of it up. He also single handly cost us a playoff win against the G-men by not only dropping a would be TD, but quiting on a perfectly thrown game-winner TD by Romo. The dude just stopped running at the 5 with three steps on the corner and nothing but pylon in sight.

So yes, he does suck in my book.

I think Crayton is a good slot WR who is not costing us an arm and a leg.

Drastic times call for drastic measures. If releasing Crayton would shut up TO for the season, I would do it in a heartbeat.

To even be talking SuperBowl after we were just gutted and left for the buzzards to feed on our carcases in Philly is being a little overly optimistic, dont you think???

Did Crayton, Owens, and Roy Williams all suck and take a step back this year?

Or did we just do an awful job of getting our receivers the ball?

It was the Jason Witten show this year guys. Our receivers just never got involved in the offense and I find it hard to believe they all just suck when all 3 are damn good players.

Crayton staying or leaving will not shut TO up. TO has never been shy to speak his mind and that is not going to change.

Oh I agree.

Garrett for some reason doesn't realise that if you just get the ball in Owens hands he is capable of breaking free for big yardage.

He think every pass to Owens has to be 20+ yards down field.

Lets do the math TO,Crayton and RW numbers were all down ok. So that means the common denominator is either the QB or the offensive scheme. If only TO numbers were down then I say TO has lost a step, But when all three players were down then you have to look at why. All three cant be horrible. How many time have they been open and never received the ball or it was intercepted. So the way you guys are talking it is like an Overweight man with bad teeth approaching a supermodel with a cheesy pick up line. She isnt interested but you blame the woman for not responding.

It depends.

If you listen to the players such as Terrell Owens, Tony Romo, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, they have more than hinted that the scheme was banal and extremely simplistic.

However, Michael Irvin has stated that the scheme is somewhat overrated and that the players have to execute the scheme on the field.

Personally, I believe it was a mixture of the two. I believe Jason Garrett was falsely annoited a genius and was placed in a situation way over his head. He doesn't seem to know how to use his weapons and in the case of Felix Jones, at times doesn't use them at all. Furthermore, I believe the receiving core and Tony Romo lost faith in Jason Garrett's schemes and that eventually translated to poor route running and very poor effort on the field.

Also, I belive Tony Romo lost faith in the Offensive Line as well.
