Everyone has their finger on the "TO has lost a step button" but I just don't see it.

Hes still one of the fastest guys on our team and still has that 5th gear.

As long as he keeps that speed with his strength and size he will still be a heck of a player.

Get him the ball Jason!

He is an easy target like Biggest kid in the class in dodgeball.

I would far rather get rid of Crayton and his big mouth and average talent before T.O...but anyhow.

Crayton talks more crap than Owens. When Owens does it (which is rare) it always comes with that smile and you know it's just him being silly (being TO), plus he can back it up with his play on the field. Crayton though...talks crap then can't back it up with his own play.

He virtually disappears during games. He's a poor #3 WR for this team... Dallas can do better. I wouldn't mind seeing him go.

And before anybody starts whining "and replace him with who?!?" there are quite a few coming out in the draft and FA that can take up space the way Crayton did for less $$.

There's also another option... Four Words... you know where I'm going w/ this.

Crayton doesn't even come close to the level of an Alvin Harper. Harper took a slant around 70 yards to set up the end of the 49ers 80s dynasty while Crayton quits on routes that would potentially beat the Giants and avoid being #1 seed with a one and done.

Thank you. I was thinking it and thanks to you I didn't have to write it down...

Any attempt to compare Crayton to AHarp is blasphemy.

I would trade Crayton to any sucker willing to give me a pick for him. And he's too far below the depth chart to be worth dealing with his pizz-poor attitude. He's anything but a team player, and right now he's just a #4 WR at that, behind TO,Williamns and Austim. Sorry, but Skandrick can play the #4, or Hurd can. Crayton is just a meathed (dead from the neck up)!

But Crayton was drafted by Bill Parcells... ANd Parcells knows quality and character when he sees it...

Patrick Crayton was a very good pick by Bill Parcells too.

In fact, it could be argued that it was one of his best.

I understand wanting more production, but it's not like Crayton is breaking the bank. In 2009, his salary is only going to be 1.5 mil.

Crayton's deal is done

Calvin "Lucky" Watkins reports that the Cowboys have agreed to a four-year deal worth as much as $14 million with Patrick Crayton. He'll get a $6 million signing bonus.

Glad to see the Cowboys get this deal done, and not just because the dude from DeSoto has proven this season that he's a solid No. 2 receiver. The best quote in the locker room is sticking around Valley Ranch!!!

UPDATE: Crayton will have a $1 million base salary in 2008 and $1.5 million in 2009. He receives a base salary of $2 million in 2010 and $2.5 in 2011. In the final year of his contract, he can earn an additional $1 million if he reaches certain incentives.

I agree, this guy is exactly what you want with late rd picks...developmental guy who busts his tail and turns into a quality role player.

People that want him out of here are stupid IMO

.

Go look at his numbers and get back to us on who would produce better results as a 3rd or 4th option. Other than a couple of teams that throw 65% of the time or more, you wont find any.

This guy is very productive, and a high % of his receptions go for first downs

Of course, and I was just being sarcastic. Crayton has just as big a mouth as TO, but certain people don't want him 'gone', despite wanting TO gone.

The focus should be on why his production dropped last year, and why Garrett couldn't take advantage of match-ups against LBs and holes in the slot. Patrick Crayton, considering what he has shown, should have been an instrumental factor in getting this team into the play-offs and moving the chains, especially in blitz situations.

Agreed.

Jason Garrett is in over his head, it should be obvious to everyone by now.

Up until Garrett recenly said "I respect TO as a player" I would have disagreed with you.

Garrett dropped the ball with that comment.

hell yeah....he's an idiot. But an idiot with alot less talent than T.O. Maybe the worse extension JJ has ever done was this guy a couple years ago. He isn't very good and he's got a big, fat, ignorant mouth. Great attributes.
