It will be disappointing if at least five fellow members do not criticize your use of the term 'cave'. On second thought, I will not be happy if you do not get critiqued while I was.

If a player is going to fetch top dollar in FA I’m not sure we should call it “ caving”.

To me “ caving” would be something no one else would do. But I get the phrase. I’m just not sure it’s always appropriate.

Dak will be resigned because he's a top five qb in the league and you'd be stupid to let that go to frolic in the qb unknown knowing you can't pick a better, or even equivalent quarterback at will.

You can hate all you want on Dak but it has nothing to do with quarterback play. If he'd played the position like those that hate have claimed he has, he would have been gone a long time ago.

He's certainly not as bad as some people describe. But you don't even have to be a top 15 QB to get a 2nd contract. You can't go by that.

I get that but if you look at it objectively, in the past few playoff games we have played with dak at QB, he is not the reason we are losing these games. He hasn't played his best in the SF games and that's one thing but when you consistently get gashed by mediocre running games and your coach freezes up when faced with his predecessor it's hard to single out the QB as the single most important issue why we are losing these games.

No doubt . But our QB has been part of the problem not only problem in these playoff games .

The bigger issue for Mgmt is can we even make it and or contend for the playoffs without him. You can’t choke if you don’t get there.

And while many fans are SB or Bust type fans our ownerships initial priority is remaining a playoff caliber team.

“ never” is only an opinion. Much like 25% is. Nobody has a crystal ball.

I get the frustration . And it’s validated. But the bigger priority for ownership , which fans thoughts don’t always align with, is remaining relative playoff caliber team. You can’t choke in the playoffs if you don’t get there.

I would think anyone would rather win 12 games and not 5. You have to make the playoffs to advance....people that live in the past and write off the season before it starts are comical too me.

And I’d argue both losses to SF weren’t embarrassing like to GB. SF was considered the better team.

He keeps the bar very low. If you remember, he was one of Garrett's biggest defenders, always using the excuse that the replacement could be worse, so keep riding Garrett. The same thing is happening here with Dak.
