The only way it would work with Deion would be if he hired a fantastic staff.

As a CU alum I am hoping he stays at CO, I'd like to see what he can do without Shedeur.

I'm against Deion coming here, but it would be fun if the new regime was just all ex Cowboys.

I think he could work with Jerry. I think he could sway Jerry his way when needed. Put it this way, they'd either build a dynasty....or Deion would quit by week 4. Lol. They have sucked for so long I think its a risk well worth taking. But no one knows.

This is the problem. Not like I am for hiring Deion Sanders because I definitely am not, but we need an old school coach. One who doesn’t give a About their paycheck.

The last thing this team needs for a coach is a friend
....good luck with that when Kellen Moore arrives......you'll get none of what you describe with a Prime hiring......iit will be rinse & repeat and a lot of "Yes sirs".

don't care if it's his 3rd year, that's setting a bad example for the rest of the team, and being that your a vet that makes it worse! It being his last year and maybe the fact that we owe him money from his previous stint??
Only Dallas fans can hate a player that much for something Jerry gave him.
Dallas fans live in the past more than any other person ever lived in the past about anything else.

Why don't you hate on Dak then? In current time.

He wants total control

He's all about discipline ( a great thing), but how can you really discipline players in the NFL these days. It seems that the players have all the leverage, ESPECIALLY when you've signed a new deal. Our guys don't seem to play well after getting the bag, can Deion really come in here and say "you're not playing because you're not doing good enough???" We're really going to pay players to sit the bench?

A lot of things slide in the NFL, look at Zeke being late for meetings. Deion said in his college meetings he wish a player would be late, and they have to be there BEFORE the meetings etc start. Would Zeke really be held accountable, he missed several meetings.

It sounds good it's a feel good story, this is the million Deion thread, but i'm looking at things from an NFL standpoint that may not work, which is why Deion in his heart of hearts would rather stay on the collegiate level. Please give your thoughts
Deion couldn't hang in the NFL as HC. He is too thin skinned and couldn't even handle it when a Denver reporter wrote negative stories about him and his program at Colorado. He ban that reporter from all his team interviews, which wouldn't fly in the NFL.

Why do you always cry and complain when people give their opinions, we don't need you to notify us of our opinions! I got my buddy big dog for that!

Deion would be a very temporary fix. Might be good for a year, then his act would wear thin quick. Easy pass. Don't need more glitz and glamour. We need substance. Real change. Anything else is hopium. Fake.

Deion's a "culture" guy, and his culture is being Deion.

It works in college, when you go to a bottom-feeder team and the AD just wants someone who can excite the fans and bring in recruits. It's different in the NFL, where the talent levels are pretty much even and fixed. Scheme counts for a little, discipline counts for a lot, and there's not a lot of culture among a bunch of free-agent millionaires.

There's been a few culture guys who've motivated their way to success in the NFL - Dan Campbell of course being the latest. But in the past, there's been a lot more Jason Garrett type misses than hits.

The guys who succeed in the NFL seem to either be schematic wizards, control-freak disciplinarians, and the best like Reid and Belichick are both.

Deion's culture is pretty much anti-discipline, and he has no real whiteboard chops. He's not a wizard or a control freak. At best, he's a great salesman for Deion. If you want to sell Travis Hunter to come to Jackson State, that's a positive. If you want to stop Kyle Shanahan's outside zone run plays, not so much.

Ask yourself.....why is Cowboy news like the annoying neighbors in the community with the windows always up, curtains always open for sights unnecessary, weed smell permeating, playing loud music all the time, bringing property value down, disregarding community rules & standards .......every day with constant discussion?

And the Panthers, Bears, NYJets, NYG, Jax and Raiders love it too as they get to manage their issues outside of the media, in private.

Unfortunately.......Jerry loves to hang the laundry outside to the media.........America's team.....miserable or not. Call the cops again.

No way, no how. Just not a good idea. If it was another organization, then maybe.
One thing for sure....Prime don't need Dallas....for a number of reasons, including the fanbase. Don't worry, believe it or not.....Jerry's pockets aren't big enough.

Deion is the only one who can control Jerry as he has the Star power to do so.
The way I see it we will be lucky to sign him and his QB son in the off-season.
LOL you thinking Jerry would bend for Deion when he ran rough shot over Bill P..."The Player" was traded for and played despite Bill P's objection....Second do you not think when QB's Daddy is getting in between his son and the #1 WR on the sideline thats gonna go south? This is the Pro's CD dont care who Shadudes Daddy is...
