Why Deion wouldn't work in Dallas

Nobody has a shot as a head coach with the Personnel decisions the front office makes and the distraction of Jerry jones. Marcus Spears said it, he makes everybody very uncomfortable hovering around the locker room and practice on a daily basis. People don't like it.

And then secondly, really great players don't make good head coaches. That's why Michael Jordan has never been a coach. It's the backups and role players who really thrive as coaches.

He's all about discipline ( a great thing), but how can you really discipline players in the NFL these days. It seems that the players have all the leverage, ESPECIALLY when you've signed a new deal. Our guys don't seem to play well after getting the bag, can Deion really come in here and say "you're not playing because you're not doing good enough???" We're really going to pay players to sit the bench?

A lot of things slide in the NFL, look at Zeke being late for meetings. Deion said in his college meetings he wish a player would be late, and they have to be there BEFORE the meetings etc start. Would Zeke really be held accountable, he missed several meetings.

It sounds good it's a feel good story, this is the million Deion thread, but i'm looking at things from an NFL standpoint that may not work, which is why Deion in his heart of hearts would rather stay on the collegiate level. Please give your thoughts
I want him on the sidelines. He is a hall of famer and one of the best defensive players to ever play the game. He's also transformed Colorado into a contender in two years, after they had been at the bottom of the heap since the late 90s. Those type of accolades and results command respect from even the most stubborn players. They can relate to him, and they will respect him.

People tend to forget that Travis Hunter was the #1 player in his HS recruiting class. Deion recruited him to play for Jackson State. Hunter and Deion's own son are both at the top of all of the heisman lists. The man can coach and get through to his players. He's a natural born teacher and leader. I'll say it now. I think he's an elite up and coming NFL coaching prospect.

He can prove he knows what he's doing before walking through the doors. He also knows JJ on a personal level and knows exactly how he operates, so I don't see culture shock becoming an issue. They would probably butt heads, but I think their personal relationship would temper and adverse issues. I would've called someone crazy if they had suggested he'd be a top candidate to be the leader of the Cowboys next season, but the man is a miracle worker and has proven me wrong. I think this needs to happen.

Dieon would demand more from the players and wouldn’t give a hoot about Jerrys preferences. He’s gonna fine and bench whoever deserves it. The issue with Jerry will be personnel issues. Jerry can’t go sign people Dieon doesn’t want to coach like he did with Parcels and TO.

I don’t think Jerry would hire Dieon bc it would take the attention and spotlight off him.

I don’t even think we have enough of a basis for Deion as a head coach to say he’s all about discipline. I think Deion motivates the hell out of young players, can recruit his *** off and is a great sales man for his programs.

I’m not necessarily sure that he’s a disciplined coach in regards to professional players and I’m not sure yet how great of a strategic coach he is. Not saying he isn’t- I’m simply unsure. I think for the college level half the battle is getting players to 100% buy in and then also being able to recruit.

Idk if deions ability to get buy in will work on the professional level

He can't recruit and he has a salary cap.
