Why did it take the Schottenheimer hire for fans to cancel their season tickets?

You can't just cancel your season tickets. You have license to purchase season tickets through purchase of a Personal Seat License (PSL). If a fan gives up their PSL, Jerry will be likely be happy to take the PSL you purchased, keep your money, and resell your PSL. If you still owe money on the PSL, you could open yourself up to legal action.

I had 4 PSLs in AT&T and sold the last two after 2022 season. Tickets were still a hot item at the time. I sold the other 2 a few years earlier. Glad I got out.

Think it's just the straw that broke the camel's back. The fact that it took so much I think says a lot about their fandom.
:hammer:This season is gonna be so ugly.....Its honestly gonna top the 0-16 Lions debacle. @ least they were close a few times in getting a win. I'm expecting just one beatdown after another. The entire team has seen it too many times already....and when that snowball starts rolling.....we have seen how this team responds. Don't think a new coach with No experience is gonna make difference.

Jed Will deserves everything coming his way.

Because fans have run like lemmings to the "horrible hire" cliff. He was not a horrible hire, just a buncha sheep running in the same direction.
From a coaching perspective looks like a downgrade and clearly not a hire of an owner looking to find the best. Or even pretend to be trying.
The funny thing is from a PT Barnum perspective, it *is* a horrible pick, and I expect Jerry to make a good show of it at least. Maybe Jerry has figured that fans that actually follow the team just don't matter to his bottom line. But he's completely lost the Super Jerry Homer - Michael Irvin. If he's lost Irvin, he's lost everyone.

Hell.....@ this point.....I would drag his *** to court for breach of contract. He's responsible to @ least put a decent product out on the field. It's got to the point where as a fan.....It's so blantant he's just out to screw the fan out of money that's going to the game....It's not even funny.

It is.

He is without question a bad NFL player.
He's a sitting duck back there trying to dodge one more big hit. Since they are bound and determined to go with him, They better come up.with a decent running game to take some of the heat off him.

Thank you. Lots of suggestions to not buy tickets around here but there’s no choice for many.

Id add that if they never got one dollar from tickets sales or concessions they would still make money. They share revenue and there are plenty of other teams that are trying to win and those fans are as into it as ever. The TV deals are MASSIVE.

If everyone stops spending and following, the league folds. Is that what we want because Jerry is an idiot?

And…Jerry knows all about this. He can do what he wants and roll in the dough. The kids know it too, and if they spend 5m on a HC instead of 15, that’s 10m in his pocket.

You’d think Jerry would push to win more, but the kids seem to get their way….cheap and conservative.

I wonder if Stephen has jars of change buried in his yard.

That's a nice thought, but the PSL agreement contains no language that places any burden on the Dallas Cowboys to be competitive. I feel really bad for the fans who spent crazy money on PSLs in the club seats. They will have no shot a recouping their money from a resale any time soon.

I think it's a combination of factors. At the top of the list is getting lapped by Washington AND responding with an uninspiring coaching change.

It it is absolutely maddening that our previous DC goes to the only NFC team with a longer history of playoff futility and gets them further in the playoffs than we've gone in 28 years. They did it by aggressively addressing team shortcomings in free agency and a change at QB. Two things Jerry rufuses to do. The success in Washington just underscores that Jerry's old, stale ways don't work. It also underscores that the Jones people have no direction or idea what they are doing. Every decision they make is for their own convenience and comfort. So, it's not surprising that many fans are fed up supporting this mess.

I made the mistake and fell for him like the joneses in his second year and thought: "heck, maybe we found us an below average QB".

But i came back real quick realizing that i was right with my initial review. He is flat out bad. Way too much talent missing for the NFL level.

I would have thought that fans would have done that back in september when Jerry rewarded a average to slightly below average QB with a 4 year deal right after he played like POOP in his last game. Thats when I checked out because that confirmed he has no interest in winning
You sold your season tickets? Did you expect other to follow you?

I just ran to Walmart to get some bottled water....saw several idiots in Cowboy's merch....they probably do not even realize what's transpired in the last two (2) weeks.
