Why did it take the Schottenheimer hire for fans to cancel their season tickets?

Does Jerry even make money on the season tickets? I imagine most of the profit comes in the personal seat license. Merely dumping the tickets means the seat license has been paid or transferred, no?

I think this is just the beginning.
Jerry doesn't yet realize what he's done.
I think he's lost something he can't get back.
And I think Michael Irvin is going to tell him that soon (and not sugar coat it.)

Of course he does, the PSL and the set ticket price for the seat is all part of the owners revenue, not to mention food, drinks, lounges, club memberships, etc... etc...

Because this is Dave Campo level garbage. We’ve seen this movie before and we know how it ends. Jerry is hellbent on doing it his way again like he was in the late 90’s early 00’s. He doesn’t have a stadium to sell the tax payers to build.

I just ran to Walmart to get some bottled water....saw several idiots in Cowboy's merch....they probably do not even realize what's transpired in the last two (2) weeks.
This is MOST cowboy fans. I have lots of friends who don't come on chat board and deep dive into team problems. They root for the star win or lose, and don't care about the details.

I am looking forward to watching a total of 8 quarters of football for the 2025 season, as Jerry would say "I am ALL IN".

You can't just cancel your season tickets. You have license to purchase season tickets through purchase of a Personal Seat License (PSL). If a fan gives up their PSL, Jerry will be likely be happy to take the PSL you purchased, keep your money, and resell your PSL. If you still owe money on the PSL, you could open yourself up to legal action.

I had 4 PSLs in AT&T and sold the last two after 2022 season. Tickets were still a hot item at the time. I sold the other 2 a few years earlier. Glad I got out.
It's not that easy to just cancel your season tickets. When you purchase you enter a 30-year contract to purchase the PSL's (Personal Seat License) on top of buying season tickets every year. So to get out you have to sell your PSL's or just lose everything you put into them.

I see one place it is talked about on facebook. Google "Cowboys season tickets down" and the link should pop up

Whether it's fact is anyone's guess. Clickbait/social media you know how it goes

Michael Irvin. If he's lost Irvin, he's lost everyone.
I think you’re dead on accurate right here. Irvin was Cowboys Super Fan and Irvin is lashing out. Add Aikman saying this is not a coveted job. Aikman and Irvin have been solid supporters of Jerry. Having Aikman and Irvin publicly call out Jerry is a sign that 90% of Cowboys fans are hitting rock bottom. When Jerry made Irvin and Aikman millionaires and they’ve reached a point of frustration that they’re calling him out. Whew, never thought I’d see the day that would happen. I hope more former players jump on the bandwagon against Jerry. Jerry is tarnishing the legacy these men made. I’d be furious too.

I hope so as well. There may be more former players who disagree with Jerry Jones' managership.

It will be necessary for any dissenters to voice their criticism publicly. Plus, it would be an added bonus if at least a few publicly state without reservation that he is a poor GM. Openly saying he should step down as GM would be the icing on the cake.

It could be that one or more former players have spoken with him privately. In my opinion, that would have less effect. Narcissists are more inclined to bristle at what they perceive many people think than just a few.

Oh, he'll just move the ring of honor from the stadium to a corner of the parking lot as retribution. He's not going to be swayed by ex-players.. Jerry is still angry about the GB loss. That's why he did nothing last offseason. That's why he made MM twist in the wind, and talked about incentive based contracts all season. That's why he waited to sign Dak. He wanted Dak to go through the offseason wondering about his future with the team as some kind of way to motivate him. it's a real sh-show. We might actually get passed by the Giants too next season if Jerry chooses to do nothing again.
